🏝️ [Master Discussion] - Monster Island - Global Beta

Theory: medium-level alliances can compete.
Practice: Top players cheating alliances get all the first places.

The loots must include the portal’s coin at least. Why do they include legends coin but not their own monster island coins. And please those battle manuals and its kind should be replace to a better 3* ascesion mats which we cant farm

Placeholder loot as announces because it’s till in beta.

Rude

Yup

But we were told ahead of time.

Because it’s beta, they can get away with this nonsense

You have to start to think that SG hands out awards for best trollish idea that the staff can come up with every week. ‘Let’s as a reward give coins for a portal we only recently said that we’ll retire it for at least a couple of months AND not give coins for the portal that is actually related to the event!’
‘You sir, deserve first prize!’ :1st_place_medal:

I can’t help but think four iterations in — and now that SG has starting monetizing the event with a dedicated portal (much less one that graphically illustrates the power rush over the last year) — we should quite possibly be a little beyond “Beta” and “placeholder” rewards.

Doubleplustrue, as any number of folks have noted, when part of those rewards are a fractional summon for an event currently on hiatus.

Though I am all too aware that….

Pretty much this. Which maybe isn’t surprising insofar as Zynga feels like any further rewards are unneeded if players will spend not only in-game resources but now money on the associated portal as well.

how exactly were we supposed to get the monster island coins

“Show me your money”, said SG

ah yes.
Only reason I ask is because it says you can get them from the event

Why did we get Legends coins as rewards when that portal has been retired or whatever?

Oh I understand! but it doesn’t seem to me that they broke any rules, they didn’t use different heroes than other medium difficulty players (I think, unless the pulls were so ruthless in granting Greel, Kalo and some multihitters) What rule was circumvented? can you physically try it? I know other famous alliances that have done the same thing in the past, but I never thought they were do something wrong honestly. I like playing on the island and I see it as a very fair event unlike other events where you necessarily have to have certain heroes. On the island the mode is very similar in all 3 difficulties, thanks to the particularity of some skills. Let’s say that very cohesive and united alliances can excel. But of course this is my point of view

So that’s why I and sleepy have same reward

This seems very incorrect though, especially the 5 coins per chest, none of us got that correct amount.
I had 85 of each coin, and we had 33 chests (that’s 2.5 coins per chest, not 5).

Not only did the mess up key drop rates, they messed up rewards too.

Oh I just realised, i had less of some coins compared to others. Do the coin amount also depend on your personal score, or is it only the alliance score?

100 tower coins
75 legends
50 3 kingdoms

15 for each was from alliance ranking <900
So that means

85 tower
60 legends
35 3 kingdoms

from 33 chests

I missed this! Good detective work buddy @Vidya128

Ah yes the famous SG quality control.

No rule was broken.
That’s exactly my point - SG established rules that can be easily abused.

About “what’s wrong”…
Imagine you play in the alliance that took second place.
During this event is was some French alliance.
They made a very great result, and they lost several million points to the alliance of top players, who shouldn’t be there.
How do they feel? They missed a chance to get the unique avatar.
Is this OK? )

Oh yeah, i saw the French alliance, in my opinion it was instead a good challenge, also because I suppose that they too used the same strategy, given that there were 30 of them with rather high levels (certainly not as high as the first classified) but it was not of certainly an alliance calibrated for the 6* titans, given that the other alliances in the ranking did not even reach the number of 30. So I suppose that that 1 million point gap is due to the organization or the speed of killing the hordes. the heroes required are not the latest generation 5*, but we are talking about Kalo and Greel, so i think that any kind of alliance organized can aim to top 1 in every categories
