I thought the cost for 3* troops in the HA was decreasing? Is this not happening now?

Followup question: Do i see it correctly that it appr. takes 26k XP to level a 5* from lvl1 to lvl30
(Based on the troop leveling data).

Just looked it up for comparison (4* epic):
It takes appr. 38k from lvl 11 to 26, and 48k from lvl 1 to 26. So in conclusion it is way cheaper (food/iron cost excluded) to level a 5* troop?

I used roughly (I might have gotten lost along the way) 81 1*, 149 2*, and 21 3*. The total xp is 41700ā€¦ so somewhere in that neighborhood to level a 5* from 1 to 30.

but it takes 63800 to do a 4* from 1 to 30ā€¦ so it is definitely cheaper.

before I go crazy tracking how many troop feeders I get per month just from farmingā€¦ has anyone already done that? Iā€™m still going to do itā€¦ but Iā€™d like number to compare withā€¦

Iā€™m going to count once per week, see where I wasā€¦ see where I amā€¦ and draw conclusions based on that as to how often can I level a 4* into a 5*. I feelā€¦ like I will be disappointed with my numbers.

At least this troops should give a bonus of 13% mana , in the worst case should be 13% , butt unfortunately we have 11% . Hope devs will do something about.

I was doing that for quite a while. Im in the PoG defence thread if you look. Its not a bad idea but it becomes a chore in itself, with no guarantees that the defences get a lot easier unless i drop out of the current tier altogether.

The way the game selects opponents seems to be the greater issue here.

I dont have a crit troop anywhere near 26 and if I did, I couldnt then push the troop to 30.

And thats assuming 30 is the end of it, and not 50 as suspected.

199 epic troop tokens just dropped in value significantly. I donā€™t understand why they decided they canā€™t be used for this

I usually do 9.8 in Atlantis because it is my belief that you donā€™t get more hero feeders or troops from doing levels that cost more. Iā€™m willing to hear a counter argument, but thatā€™s my contention.

10.8 to 10.10 on underwild dunes and valhalla. just depends on the day.

Just saw a screenshot of an alliancemember, who converted into a 5* troop. It took him 36.250 XP from lvl 1 to 30.

Iā€™m probably missing something, but Iā€™d rather have a 4* troop that gives me +20% mana than a 5* that gives me max +11% mana and some minimal gains elsewhere.

I exchanged a red Ninja troop to a 5*. This thread is Gold, Thank you to all placing calculations and exchange numbers in here!

Red was my only none-mana troop and curiosity took over. I have Brimstone and 2LB maxed and targeted him for Troop.
Here he is compared with Brimstone on max from another player in my alliance. Very well informed from the Forum on what to expect and clear that HP was the primary gain from the conversion.


Running two construct heroes does not help mana speed with a bard on the team, so havenā€™t found the right team yet. New 5* troop is lending an energy boost but at a slower pace as stated.

There must be a later troop LB coming, otherwise we need to do more in terms of choosing the right troop for the right player. There are some mechanics that are not completing afloat yet, but weā€™ll see.

But some of the calculations above is felt in raids, lower speed that is. Using the new troops could call for both Jane/Aradia, a bard and making sure heroes are chosen with the mana node. Otherwise, robust or otherwise, opponents will fire faster.

Biggest gain is HP, with maxed new troop you get 40% boost to it because old or MANA and MAGIC troops gave not HP but percentage to healers heal or boost. +11% gives opportunity for couple classes (those who have 4% mana gain in talents) masked heroes (because mask gives 5% mana generations) and couple different kind of heroes to stay at the same tile count with biggest winners being average heroes who can hold same 9 tiles and fast with same 7 tiles.

Yeahā€¦ Nice to see. I went for a minotaur for my Darkfeatherā€¦ So far at lvl 15 only 7% mana!! Not using them yet. Weā€™ll seeā€¦

Decent life on my Elkanen :sweat_smile: with the heal from troop + heal from special + toon passive hes a serius pain in the aā€¦ To kill
