Mana node Emblem advice

Hey all I have a question is it worth taking the mana node on Marjana. Additional details I have all the costumes for her, and mostly use the toon version and the first costume(fire def down) Thanks for any advice on this.

What level/type of troop do you put on her?
Does the extra mana change what troop you use on her versus other reds?

If you can hit different mana break points as a team it’s worth it. Of course teams can change so using it can future players proof yourself.

The fighter version ( base or toon) needs 15% affitional mana gain to fire in 7 tiles and 34% to fire in six. 15% is easy, 5% costume bonus, so you just need a lvl.17 mana or a lvl. 11/12 Magic or Styx troop. If your troop level is not high enough thisec2% from talent node will certainly help,
34% is difficult to achieve: 5% from costume, 2% takent node and even a lvl27 Styx or lvl.29 magic troop would give 20%. If you can get the 5% bard bonus you will get to 32%. Without further mana boosters ( e.g.HotM‘s Elemental link) it is very difficult to fire her in six tiles, so with good troops this talent node may be skipped.
The 2nd costume ( Wizard, 4% mana on 20th talent node) is a different story:
Here you can get down to 6 tiles :
20% troop + 5% costume+4%mana node+5% Bard bonus equals 34%.

If you are not 100% sure that you don´t need the mana node now and will never need it in the future, then just take it and be on the safe side.
It sucks if you have to reset all your heroes and loose the golden emblems every time you get a new troop or whatever.
Really the only heroes where I would even consider not taking the mana nodes is on a very fast hero if I had 5 mana troops at level 11 or above. Mana is so complicated these days with all those different speeds and boost percentages, and there is no other talent node in the tree that has potentially such a huge impact on your heroes as the mana node.

Okay I think I understand…and the troops level that I have the mana bonus will help meet the mana break points. these also means I’m gonna miss out on one attack node. Is that a good move? and secondly if I have to get the mana node for Costume A (wizard) I will miss out of the defense and HP % nodes for the other versions at emblem node 19. Is that a big deal or no?

1 node is never a big deal, unless it´s the mana node, then it can be a big deal (if it makes the difference between reaching a breakpoint and not reaching it). but an extra 15 attack or defense is not going to change a hero.

With costumes you have to decide which costume you are going to use the most, then emblem the hero for that costume and live with the fact that other costumes are not perfect. If you want to play various costumes on the same hero equally often, then you may have to compromise.

I stick with the simple solution of always picking the mana node. The speed at which a hero can fire their special is the single most important factor in this game. And we have no idea what new features/changes will impact mana generation in the future.
