More Insights & Reading
I highly recommend reading these three threads for more information and context on summoning odds:
If youāve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.
Wondering About Your Personal Situation?
Feel free to discuss your team and roster here, and ask for advice from other Forum members.
If youād like more extensive advice on sorting out your particular roster, I recommend creating a new thread in Gameplay Help & Tactics, and posting screenshots of your hero roster, along with your questions.
I just got him. Green is my second worse color and on the struggle bus. He can clearly work in 4* tournies, but does anyone have experience with him in say normal diamond raiding or perhaps harder PvE content?
Iāve been wondering how well he can actually compete. Letās start with stats at 4/70, heās pretty inferior to Caedmon with 2 or 3 costumes.

When I think about the Epic Greens I use hereās who comes to mind:
Healer: Mel or Ptolemy depending on what secondary effect I need. May even opt for C.Gaderius.
Minions/Mana buff: Mielikki
EDD: Almur
Defense down: C.Peters (I donāt have him), Buddy (who I donāt use much nowadays), C2.Skittleskull (who I actually use more for superior wizard talent)
Hitters: C2/T.Caedmon
Mana control: Little John, Hansel, Peters
Buff stealing via minions: Villiers
Weak heroes I leveled and havenāt used for quite a while: Orla, Wren, Tettukh
Now letās look at Lionstringās kit
1 Never misses: blind and dodge arenāt too common in epic that this isnāt something Iāve felt I needed in Epic too often
2 245% damage to target and minor to nearby. Weak compared to C2.Caedmon 275% to three
3 Steals healing and dodge for 2 turns: This is where his uniqueness comes in. But the two turns worry me. It means Iām holding off on using the special trying to time that short window. Stealing healing isnāt always as great as just doing more damage in the first place
4 Very fast: without mana troops, non legendary very fast heroes always seem to disappoint me (Iāve tried using Jackal a lot in the past)
5 20% of damage received is shared with allies. Good if heās your strongest hero. Could be helpful if heās your weakest hero. Could also take out the rest of your team.
So how important is dodging damage to you? Is it worth less stats? No 75% toon resist? Less damage from special?
I was excited when I first saw him, but Iāve slowly been happy I havenāt leveled him.
Now maybe you donāt have T or C2 Caedmon by now. Maybe your greens are so weak as you point out, thereās less competition.
Edit: Iām going to do a 4 star hero removal service/ranking similar to the one I did for 3 stars one day. The premise is going to be that classic heroes set the standard. Does this hero do something they donāt?
I think our epic lineups are pretty similar, including who we did and didnāt max. I forget about Marcel since I donāt have him. Seeing that your roster is similar to mine, I wouldnāt be in a rush to level Lionstring. Unless you feel youāre really missing dodge. Could be helpful in a war cleanup I suppose.
I did just read all of that, but who would you level next? I was think Villiers (iāve had him for a long time and just want to level him one day), but I came to check on Lionstringā¦ and now Iām unsure (per usual). I just finished Heimdall, so I wanted to do a four-star before jumping back into a five star.
