So in the process of developing bench strength for wars… I am leveling several 5 Star heroes and man does it take forever going up those last 30 levels.
I did some analysis and this is what it looks like:
Rng blessed me twice in wars coz i leveled my heroes just before fight. One of my hero was level 68 a 4* and i leveled him to 70 before taking him to fight, and in the end he was the last man standing with 2 health. Just my fun exp from war lol.
The simple answer is yes it does make a difference in the end.
But like everything it takes time so we all wonder if it is worth it. Lvling several at the sesame time is a thankless task and my solution to this with any hero is once their special is maxed they eat anything so just concentrating on one at a time makes it seem quicker as you see an end in sight.
Only time this would differ would be in 5* hero’s and then once you get past 4-50 they only really benefit from 2* and above feeders
What I did with my 5’s once they got to those levels is that I only fed same color 2* or higher and the trainer heroes of other colors I did not have projects on. Very slow but they weren’t getting that much stronger so I didn’t rush it. Food effecient method too.
I don’t know how many times a Guinevre or an Alby I was attacking survived by a few tens of hit points, fired his/her special and spanked me hard afterwards. Were them just a few levels lower I would have killed them and won my raid. I know these cases are not so common, but they are those I brood over the most.
So are those levels worth the effort? I’d say yes.
Are those level a priority? Not necessarily. If you have not a full bench of 30 levelled heroes for war maybe your feeders are better spent in raising a couple of 4* rather than growing your 5* to the end.
I guess my main point was that if you are trying to get a full bench for a war, stopping a 5 Star hero at 4-50 gets you 94% of the utility of the final hero and you save enough experience to get a 4 Star hero to 4-35… so for wars bench strength seems to be a very deciding factor…
It maybe wise to use some of the strategies mentioned above, finish them yes, but slower.
I totally agree with this. Getting the last 10-20 levels on a 5* can wait if you have another good 5* of the same color and the mats to ascend them. E.G. I know that @Kerridoc pulled Delilah while he was working on Joon, so left him at 4-70 to work on her instead. After getting Delilah to 4-80 he went back and brought Joon then Musashi from 4-70 to 4-80. Additionally, I’ve left Perseus and Quintus at 4-70 for months now since they’re not great and I don’t use them very much since I maxed Isarnia and Sartana.
I still have a lot of heroes to level. What I have started doing is giving all my 1* feeders to my 4*, feeding same color in batches. 2* and higher, and trainers, go to my 5*, again same color in batches. This way I am able to build up better depth for wars without dramatically slowing down my 5*
