To Bench, or Not?

When you have a pretty good 5* roster, leveling 4* heroes become more strategic than just needed to level 4* heroes to to have teams to get through the game. So with that said…

My current 4* heroes that are leveled/being level are: Sonya, Triton, Grimm, Kiril, Boril, Hansel, Caedmon, Melendor, Gadeirus, Li Xiu, Jackal, Gretel, Boldtusk, Wilbur, Scarlett, Cyprian, Proteus, Rigard, Sabina, Ameonna and Falcon if I get him. I would also level special event/holiday heroes as I acquired them if they are I fact unique and valuable like a Jackal/Falcon.

My 5*s leveled/being leveled include: Misandra, Isarnia, Miki, Richard, Lianna, Kadilen(may stop at 3/70), Ranvir, Joon, Drake Fong, Vivica, Musashi, Poseidon, Justice, Seshat, Khiona, Sartana, Kageburado, Bosswolf(MAYBE for super tank/mono purposes only), Marjana, Mitsuko, Ares, Azlar…and future great 5s that I’m still hoping to get.

So do I need to level heroes like Kellie/Colen/Wu/Hu Tao when I have Marjana/Azlar/Ranvir/Drake? Also aside from the special 4s like holiday/event heroes, I have about every 4 hero, but see no need in leveling any more beyond what I mentioned.

I get that these may be decent heroes, but I dont want to prolong leveling 5*s. And I don’t want to invest feeders resources and mats on places that are not most effective.

What are your thoughts on this?

Extra 4* heroes are most useful for raid tournaments and wars, since those are the only times you are unable to use the similar 5*s. If you have nothing else to work on, they might come in handy. If you have any heroes you actually want to level, I’d throw all your feeders at them and not worry about niche 4s till later.

@Wharflord that makes sense I’d circle back for a Colen or Wu if I was out of other like color heroes to level or was on pause for mats.

Wu Kong is very useful in all the cases where you can’t use 5* heroes (tournaments, challenge events).

Emblem quests are also an area where the more diverse set of heroes you have the better.
