Jean-François – 5* Fire/ Red - February 2020 HOTM (Hero of the Month)

The developers are professionals in the field, it is hoped that the betas’ vocabulary, or the way they speak, will not influence their project, but the content of what they are saying.

There were only two test versions, this seems to me little, as a measure of urgency, because they are in a hurry with other projects, like S3 for example. I don’t really know, I’m speculating.

However, I think it is wrong to place the responsibility on our fellow players, when the responsibility for the throws belongs to SG. It’s their business, they make the money from the product. So the responsibility to launch something better is also theirs.

A friendly reminder, @Red_Sun

I’m not questioning your motives, but let’s move it along :+1:

It’s reasonable to call for nerf JF1, I see the point but there are guys keep saying & pursuing that JF2 is still very good heroes and on par with GM, I can’t agree.

Good is still a luxury word to me for this version.

This. Why the excessive downgrade from 4 to 2 rounds? Why not do an incremental reduction to 3?

Like with Neith, why jump from 220% damage down to 150%? They could’ve started with Just a 30% or even 40% reduction.

It’s like SG doesn’t know the meaning of “moderation.”

Edit: I’ll be pulling in Avalon and will be happy to get JF. I just feel he could’ve been so much more. Lots of people were pushing for a 3 turn burn immediately after JF V2 was announced.

Yes we did ask that in the previous thread.

The February to April HoTM are either OP or underwhelming in their first build… :man_facepalming:

For those comparing GM vs JF, keep in mind that:

3 aspect of GM skill are offensive while 1 aspect (elemental link is hybrid).

2 aspect (elemental link included) of JF skill are offensive while 2 other aspect are defensive.

Judging from those, it is clear that in JF, SG do not want to create an offensive powerhouse like GM, they want to make a hybrid hero like Zeline.

Nothing wrong with the intention. Just hoping they avoid making heroes “Jack’s of all trades, masters of none.” Balanced doesn’t mean average in all things.

Neith

Luckily JF is not average speed like Neith…

I have pulled Wilbur in the last Atlantis event. Very pleased to have him now. I tried a 10x pull yesterday and to my surprise I actually got the HOTM Jean François.

Both are 1^1. Who to start first? I have 1 TC20 running. I have 3 slow but cheap 1*/2* training camps running non stop. Already have 30 each (so 90 in total) to collect if I want. I can buy the trainer hero pack (promoted as a boost for tournament heroes).

What is your advise?

I suggest to go first with Wilbur… First because is amazing, a game changer, second because the 4* are moore faster to finish (sorry for my English)

Wilbur first as he’s quicker, cheaper & easier to max out.

Then JF after that

JF, Zeline, Vela, White Rabbit and Ursena on offense will probably destroy an opponent in no time…

He got nerfed so heavily that he became almost useless.

Honestly I found really funny read all the time so different comments about the Heroes … About JF my answer is…?
:joy:… For someone is great for someone is terrible… I think that on the end he will be great hero if you need a 5*red,if not is terrible :joy:… Maybe for me is the first time with a hero that I don’t understand if he is good or not… After 3 years I’m playing I can say that I’m in a trouble :see_no_evil::joy:

Yes…
After reading the comments, I am just as confused.

He seems either terrible or great :joy:

I realize that red symbolizes the element of fire in this game, but is it possible to get a 5 star red hero that doesnt produce burn damage? I know theres a few, like Elena, but… man, I’d really like to see a hotm red that is useful against Kingston.

QoH, Red Hood, Captain Kestrel (or the other one), Ares, Khagan, Mitsuoko, Black Knight, Zimkitha, Grazul, Anzogh

Appreciate some of those are quite rare and lots of the hitters do burn DoT

So can sorcerers and clerics, but…

Yes, very happy to, as soon as people stop needing reminding to be civil etc

The size is kind of the point, though

If you make me some new ones, i won’t have to keep using the same old stuff.

I don’t remember this, you’ll have to show me the link :man_shrugging:t3: Edit - I don’t think this was me at all so… pictures or fake

But thanks for the feedback @Magnum16, I used to flag a lot more and that was much more unpopular. So far, everyone else has been positive, but I’ll bear it in mind if that changes.
