Since he has been buffed, is he worth ascending for a 15% defense Atlantis family bonus (paired with Ariel+18, Ursena+18, Poseidon+18) in a defense team? I currently use Ursena as tank but thought he could be worthy flank? Could even add Proteus+20 for a 20% defense bonus? Otherwise I could fill that extra spot with another hero like GM, Alby, Seshat etc.
I don’t really see this defense team much in Diamond so I’m wondering if it’s because Atlantis team is outdated. If so, I’d rather save the tonics for better 5* greens I have that work better individually.
In my understanding, it all depends on the roster & what heroes are mainly being used at this moment.
If I am using a lot of Atlantis heroes, then Atomos will gel together bcoz, post his speed improvement, he is fairly good, when I have faced / copied him using LoLo.
Though my nature wait list hasn’t given me room to give Atomos tonics so far, even though he would be a useful paring with Ursena / Ariel.
Waiting is a double edge sword but is also mitigated by the frequency / quantum of pulls = giving a good chance for newer heroes to join the roster… which only you can answer !
Thanks for your advice! Yeah it’s tricky cause I’ve definitely got better greens to ascend but not ones I’d likely use in my defense team and Atomos I could give a shot. But also I’m not yet able to change my formation and I can imagine that when I can, that will open up a whole new range of options haha
Ah good to know. I do already have Alby maxed and LoTL at 3/70 so I’m also considering her, but not sure if she works well in a defense team due to her speed
I ran this team on my defense for months and never dropped below 2500. I have all 4 at +20 and still use them as war defense from time to time. Atomos is worth mats regardless, but the family bonus makes it a no brainer. I just wish there was a red too.

I already get fire Aether from today tournament, and would plan either Gefjon or BK, but my Gefjon is unemblemed (I plan to give her emblem though), and my BK is +20.
LOTL is insane, If you have Mana 29 troop, she can give a run for the money, I have her as my tank and use her in most wars, Her swords are crazy especially in the right defense formation. She has kept me in the 2600’s for more than a year now. On V Fast wars and tourneys she is a great flank if u dont do green tanks. I put her next to Kunchen tank and i end up with quite a few 0’s when ppl attack me. I am planning to LB her as i dont have any other greens except lianna. It will make her survive better as well.
I save coins for atlantis for when kage and atomos is on as would like both… Also a boat load of barbarian emblems, I have areil and poseidon for war only i would slot atomos in my war defense as tank (when we run green). Also would use in raid and other parts of the game…
I would love an Atomos. The last time I faced him, everything was going according to plan (he was right wing). I couldn’t charge a healer and sent three neutral tiles in his direction and it set his special off: blam, blam, blam, blam. blam and suddenly I had just one hero left standing. I avoid him in a fight.
