So I am 2 summons away from filling my fated summons counter and I am heavily leaning towards Onatel due to the fact that I only have one other mana controller at the moment, one Merlin.
It was previously 50/50 between Onatel and Freya because I have always wanted Freya and she would have helped my current 4-1 purple team (all purples average/10 tile) with survivability. However in the meantime I have pulled C Ammeona who pretty much fulfills that role just as well as Freya. Which leaves the question of where would Freya provide a niche purpose and I think the answer to that is in regards to her multi minion damage in PVP and PVE, particularly challenge events etc.
So does anyone have any details on how much damage those minions can do? Or even better a video?
I like Freya. If you get purple gems to get the minion she is very effective. +20% HP and attack inherited from the caster. Minion gives +120% to all its owners other minions. Plus all allies get +30% defense for 4 turns. The more times you can activate her the better.
I use freya in war attacks in two scenarios generally
1 the enemy doesn’t have a healer so I can play to just outlast
2 the enemy has one or more defense down heroes and I’m short on cleansers (already used them or don’t like them for this situation for whatever reason)
The minions don’t really do the killing, but if I can keep five heroes alive and bring them down to 2, she can help finish them off. But so many other heroes could work in a similar situation.
I don’t have good numbers for her damage but if I remember I’ll try to figure it out.
I do love her for autoplying as the minion buff can make them do a lot of damage while giving me that fast defense buff and quasi heal in case things weren’t going well.
Just did a raid with freya limit broken and fully emblemed against a 4K defense power team (so not 100% applicable but it’s the stat I have right now). Each minion hit for about 20. With a second minion they were doing ~40 per hit. The minions have 326 health (level 29 mana troop).
I think for those numbers alone she is not worth it, although an ongoing 80 DOT for 2 minions is not bad. C Ameonna just ticks the survivability support box as well as she does.
This can depend on whether you’re likely to develop Freya to tank for your defense, but one of her sneaky-good abilities is her Vanaheim realm bonus: even if she gets KO’d before she can do anything, her “from Hell’s heart I stab at thee” mana cut can be nasty.
In your opponent’s best-case scenario where they get a big tile cascade that wipes Freya out before she can fire and their whole team is then about to fire, her parting shot can be all “nope.”
(This can hurt attackers more than defenders, since attackers generally have to find the right tile match to recover; defenders get small amounts of mana for free each turn and may bounce back from a small mana cut more steadily.)
Good point, and I have encountered and cursed that dying curse many a time.
However I have ended up going with Onatel. Freya was just too close to C Ammeona in her utility, and having more mana options will really help the harder PVE content as well as hopefully improve my main PVP team. Freya would definitely have made a better tank than Tiburtus (in wars - for raids I have CC Viv), but at this stage of my progress I am not too fussed about my war tank options. Jariff/CC Viv/TIburtus/Sally/Peppermint actually do surprisingly well each war, usually scoring multiple bounces. Especially surprising as this is a top 2k alliance.
I love Freya! If I can get the tiles she is awesome, especially if you get a couple of her minions. I wonder if she is going to get nerfed like they did to Odin.
I also 50/50 between Freya vs. Onatel in FS1. I ended up with Freya for the main reason that my daughter thought Freya’s art more beautiful than Onatel -__-
I always want Onatel, but I have C.Chao, Mist, LB2 C.Renfield and Proteus and quite a strong yellow team,
(in contrast I only have Freya and Kvasir as main summoners and relatively weak purple team) so I thought my (daughter) decision was appropriate
