Hey all, I’m.still not totally convinced by Neith, who I have at 2/60. Her blind is great, but the 10% mana drain seems a bit of a joke, especially with average mana. But I need a new yellow project, have plenty of orbs - but only 5 darts - and am wondering whether I should fully ascend Li Xiu instead of putting Neith into 3rd.
I always play mono, the rest of my bench is:
5* Maxed: Delila, Joon
5* 3/70: Onatel, Ranvir
5* 2/60: Neith, Leonidas, Justice
4* Maxed: Chao, Guardian Jackal
4* 3/60: Guardian Jackal, Chao x3, Hu Tao, Li Xiu, Gretel
All advice welcome! I’ve got 5 darts now and will definitely be maxing another 5* when I get the last one (probably Onatel), if that helps…

Usually i prefer a maxed 4* than 3.70 5* but in this case they are almost identical in the stats
And as you mentioned that you prefer to play mono Neith will be much more useful for you for her elemental link and blind all
in my opinion unless you plan to give emblems to Li go with Nieth
@Olmor they could, for sure, and I’ll probably end up raising both eventually. I always work on one hero of each colour simultaneously, so I wouldn’t do two yellows at the same time.
@Aunty_Krauser I’ve got 440 monk emblems, but I had been debating whether to give them to Joon or to Tarlak (I have them both maxed) tbh. I haven’t thought about giving them to a 4*…but maybe I should consider it.
IMO, 2nd Jackal is better, it’s because of my avatar, joke… Well I prefer variety… and you have only 2 maxed 4* yellow, It will help for Tournament and Epic Event Challange if the opponent is purple heavy. So, I vote Li Xiu.
I’d prob do second jackal and gretel before Li. We’re facing and a bunch of neith tanks this war so it’ll be interesting to hear the feedback from the team on her.
@SWino For the amount it would take to fully emblem a 5* you can very easily have three 4 stars at +20. And also if you have Li Xiu’s costume, that is another reason to emblem her.
She is serving me well as an AoE mana cutter and her withstand is coming in handy against any mana attacks, DoTs, and any and every other ailment in the game.
I’m curious, why are you considering Li Xiu and not Gretel? Li Xiu is great don’t get me wrong, and I have mine at +15, but she’s better for raid/war defense and map farming than with raid offense or Titans. And also, her mana cut is extremely similar to Chao.
(I do still bring my Li along on raid offense, but only because my only other Yellows - for the longest time - were Inari and Chao. So basically I had no other choices). But you have others to consider.
Gretel is also a mana controller, but hers has quite a different mechanic compared to Chao, so would add variety to your team. Also, with Gretel, you can use her on an enemy hero about to get full mana, then watch the hero’s mana drop A LOT when full AND get some nice damage. If you bring Chao and Gretel together, you could use them on different targets, stalling two dangerous enemies at the same time.
@Aunty_Krauser thanks for the screenshot, I hadn’t considered how many fewer emblems it takes to for 4* heroes. Definitely worth considering!
@sleepyhead I haven’t thought about Gretel too much yet because I also have Hansel, and his fast mana makes him a bit more attractive to use. I was just considering throwing orbs at Neith because I think she’s a solid 5*, but some of her abilities (AoE and the mana cut) are like Li Xiu so I was wondering if Li might be a better choice at 4/70 than Neith at 3/70. I agree, I think Gretel is a great hero, I’ll definitely max her eventually - probably number three on my list; fortunately I’ve got the orbs for all of this.
@SWino Just note I went down the defense health path for the first half, gonna go attack the next half to compensate for the costume when i get it on my main. I just wish I could trade costumes between profiles as I have a Li Xiu dupe costume on my alt #1.

Sharing my Li’s stats and talent grid - hope this helps you in your decision. She is exceptionally sturdy, and often outlives Chao and even Inari in raids. The Monk talent helps too, I’ve won a few raids because she resisted ailments like Hel’s mana block.
After Li finished - Neith will be great support with extra mana cut, extra mana gain and blind.
p/s have both of them, neith at 3.70 cos Poseidon waiting for darts, and she doesnt deserve darts
She seemed to be considered a “farmable target”. We still put guin and drake before her. I had one hit against her, but she never fired. (My team: aegir, marj, magni, zim, Athena) would send vid, but she died in the first three moves so not much to see.
