🏅 [Feb 2, 2020] 41st Raid Tournament! — 3* Rush Attack, No Holy/Yellow

I can’t decide between

Option A

Or Option B

Anybody able to logically talk me into one over the other? Thanks @MD-DC for talking me out of Oberon, I like your reasoning

I think on going wild.

I don’t think this format favours the Bat in particular. As others have said, there are some heroes that shine here, but I think Bat doesn’t. At Vfast the special is likely to fire too early for maximum damage.

I would really like some input here… I have no useful purples. These are all my heroes.

Any advice guys, pretty please with a cherry on top? @zephyr1 @Guvnor @MD-DC

Too much red initially.

I would try:
Ulmer → Berden → Gunnar → Jahangir → Brianne

You’re lacking severely in options :stuck_out_tongue: too much blue and red haha

Yeah ikr :persevere: So no healers? And Im guessing Brienne in normal form not costumed, cuz Ulmer does def down already? Thanks for your input.

That would be my verdict.

You can put Costume-Hawks in for Ulmer if you want & then use costume brianne but… :man_shrugging:

Making sure I’m seeing what the options are, to start, since they’re sort of hiding in the screenshots.

  • Ulmer +1
  • Costumed Hawkmoon +3
  • Gunnar +1
  • Jahangir +1
  • Azar +13
  • Berden +7?
  • Belith +8?
  • Costumed Brienne +0
  • Valen +1
  • Nashgar +0

Corrections? Omissions?

belith is 6 i think. berden is 7. two nashgars. namahage is at 6/8 Gunnar has a costume but is at 1/1 right now. could maybe bring him up to 2/1 or even 3/1 later on in the tournament for some costume bonus.

Day 0 - Registration Day

Bring on the Bat (Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?)

Missed a week of tournaments, especially with a poor performance last time. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve figured out why my win percentage isn’t as high as others - I get frustrated too easy. I lose one so I pick my next team too fast and lost and then just go through the motions and I’m out. I think I’ll have to try to impose a new rule - if I lose a battle, I stop and come back.

I digress. I still have not put emblems in my 3*. I’m starting to focus on my main defense team having spread out as far as I want for now. 3* are just not in the future, but I have my high troops so I’m happy.

Got to go with Gill-Ra as tank. She seems the best in this event. And what is that signal in the sky? It’s a call for guardian bat! He’s new and I want to try him. I’m placing him on the far right so maybe others might be killed before he strikes.

I have avoided healers in rush tournaments in the past but I’m going with chief Hawkmoon. Let’s see if this strategy works. But by doing that, it means I can’t use Gunnar or Brienne - just not enough attack. So I’m bringing in Jedon, em Hison! And Gato! Gato also gives me a family bonus but I’m not counting on that.

So here we go. And like LoD back in the day, what a rush!

@bobiscool allow me an opinion here.

Go with a Gunnar tank. Whether costumes or not, he offers a decent punch.

I’d also use Chief Hawkmoon. She could be flank or wing. I would say flank and on the left - get that boost faster and before others hit.

Ulmer is good too. I just realized I didn’t use an AoE. I may have to fix that. He does defense down too so make him a left wing.

Jahinger is another good hero. Maybe right wing since he doesn’t have any other effect. He can be a final knock out.

So now, right flank.

I’ve got two choices for here. One is costumed Brienne but it doesn’t feel like a good spot. The other is Berden but he’s a sniper. So offense or support, your call. I’m leaning Berden for more offense.

much appreciated! Just a small question, how come you guys have those small element symbols on your cards and I don’t?

Okay. I’m asking for help myself now. This seemed good, but I’m missing an AoE. I could pull Hisan for Ulmer - that’s a good position but then I’m double blue and no green. I could move Hisan to Gato’s spot.

Any thoughts? Assume I have all 3* except Bauchin and Shrubear.

Color blind mode. I prefer the look. Without it, the tiles are a bit dull for me.

I’d be tempted to try:

Valen - Brienne - Azar - Ulmer - Berden

or

Ulmer - Belith - Azar - Berden - Valen

or

Jahangir - Ulmer - Belith - Azar - Valen

None of them is entirely ideal, so I’m torn on which to suggest.

say, if I take off Azar’s emblems right now, will I end up with weaker opponents? Or is it too late?

I believe the matchmaking for that is determined based on when you hit the Join button — that seemed to be the case from past experiments.

So I think it’s too late, judging by your screenshots.

Id like to piggyback off that question, and answer with a technical question of my own @zephyr1
Pre Tournament start you can obviously do anything to your team defense.
Once the tournament starts however, what can and cannot be changed ( level up heroes, emblem heroes, troops leveling) ? I have come to understand that troops are locked in once the tournament starts, however I’m not sure if that’s 100% accurate now.
I’m low on ham and I am asking because I have to prioritize troops if they still cannot be changed after the start.
Thanks!

With about 4 hours to go, I’m leaning this way now… My other option was/is gato in place of Azar - Azar- Mana cuts gato protects from status effects- cutting Mana seems to have a very important role in rush attack- but I have chocin too which would overwrite Azar- could I get some feedback please?
EDIT-
SS with gato there

Weird that it’s the exact same team power??? Could be the difference of Azar with emblem and 2* troop VS gato no Emblems 4* troop

They don’t overwrite — Chochin reduces mana generation.

Azar directly cuts existing charged mana.
