I’m close to my first FS (98/100 now) and I’m not sure who I shoud choose. These are heroes that"I’m considering:
RED - Grazul, I don’t have ailment blocker and second red healer would be nice to have. The problem is her heal is weak and buff last for only 2 turns.
GREEN - Rat, mainly for titans, would be usefull as healer in wars too. I’m not sure if taking hero mainly for blue titans make sense.
BLUE - Ariel, good healer, would get a lot of use.
OR Skadi, I know that this is considered the best choice by many people (including me) but at the same time I feel that with minions getting stronger every month it will be very hard to use her outside minnion wars. For minnion wars I have 2 c.Frank and I think that they are enough for that.
YELLOW - nothing
PURPLE - Freya and Seshat, I need both of these, minion makers and dispellers. But purple is my strongest color and I’m short on tabbards.
Another option is to wait for second FS list (I hope oracle will know it before change). I’m spending once a year at BF portal so I don’t think I will be able to take more than 1 hero per FS. I really need good green hitter so waiting might be best idea.

I voted Ariel, looks like you could use a blue healer and she is a great option. The mana generation and cleanse just make her pretty awesome.
I voted Ariel. I have her and she is very helpful. My second choice would be to wat but it won’t refresh until the beginning of febuary. Of course, if we could see what is your roster, it would help.
It is really a hard choice. I think, since you’ll have only one pick, I’d choose the most universal hero.
From my perspective, I love my Seshat, still use her all the time. Her dispel, combined with a snipe is invaluable.
Another universal hero will be Ariel. I don’t have her, always wanted to have, but…I’m really short on scopes (have already a line for them), and on cleric emblems, because of my healers have them. So also struggle with decision a bit. Nonetheless, I think if there is an opportunity to pick such a good healer, it’s hard not to take advantage of this situation.
Grazul with her low heal and only 2 turns of immunity is subpar IMO. Ratatoskr is also a good healer, also effective for blue titan, but not as good as Ariel.
Skadi is indeed a bit tricky to use in this meta. Either you have M&M with minions so fat, that you’d need 3 Skadi’s to kill them, or W3K with a riposte, which is a suicide mission. It is still very effective against Diaochans, Beras and Freyas, but not as universal as she was.
In terms of Freya vs. Seshat, I’d vote Seshat, unless you have loads of dispellers.
Based on the helpful info you gave, I’d do Ariel. Healers are always useful and you are totally correct about Skadi, the newer minions are too strong to make her an elite hero anymore. All of your thoughts on each hero are spot on. Although, I do use Ratatoskr at lot more than just titans…the rat is really good in a lot of late level challenges with stacking green.
While I may not be the best person to answer who to take, but as to the latter part of your decision about saving, I think I would say for you to take someone once you hit the 100 now.
As the counter does not reset when the list resets and anything over 100 are not counted. Unless you are banking on someone being on the next list that you are for sure going to take immediately and are willing to forego all small summon attempts until the list resets (from seasons, challenge events, alliance quests, costume masquerade, towers, taverns, etc.), I would take someone here and start building the count up to the next set of heroes.
I have Tarlak and Ratatoskr, so I’m biased because they work so well together on events/titans. I regularly use Rat on raid and war attack teams.
I also have Grazul from the list. I stripped her of emblems quite awhile ago and haven’t used her since. I was very, very disappointed when I found that Grazul does NOT block health reduction. If her heal was changed to overheal, I would probably start using her again.
The one hero that I’ve always wanted…Ariel. BUT, the way the game is going for me (and the state of my roster) has me looking for more damage. I voted for Skadi, and Skadi is the hero I’ll likely take.
