61% and 2 turns for Vanda is meh. Because of the potential waiting/timing required in using her special she might as well be average mana, and the return on that was better at 3 turns if 61%. And, her special although very fast has the healing steal and immunity to status ailments, so often players will be choosing one or the other as they won’t always be happening at the same time, especially when at 2 turns, which is the same problem Bai-Yeong has imo.
I’m fine with the 61%, actually they can even remove the damage she deals… just make her 3 turns again SG. A 3 turn VF control hero for the GTV meta is exactly what we need.
Bringing her down to 2 turns, without the grazul team heal, well… sucks.
3 turns of Immunity was awesome, 2 without the heal is just meh!
Is Vanda really not great anymore? I feel like I would still give her all my sorcerer emblems if I had her (unless maybe I pull Ursena).
The 3 turns was what made her good. With two turns she is just meh.
She is still arguably better than Grazul.
I don’t think so. The heal is more usefull than weak damages and an almost useless heal drain offensively speeking.
On offense she’s still great as you can time her properly before that Kunchen or Rigard fire (and those cleanse all statuses anyway). It’s the defense where she is problematic now as AI won’t time her attack properly.
She never was meant for defense in her design this is kinda obvious. They just nerf her offensively and I dont think that was necessary cause she was not OP but just good enaugh to desire her.
Beta Update
Small changes to Vanda and Jack based on Beta Feedback:
- Vanda: Damage increased from 110% to 125%
- Jack: damage to nearby enemies changed from 106 to 203 (same as target).
Also announced buff for Victor:
Is the cleanse every turn for three turns a buff that has an icon? Ie can you see how many turns the cleanse has left? And if it is a buff, is it able to be dispelled/removed?
This it’s not enough for Victor to be a good hero, he must hit 3 and dot only on the target or at least 250% direct damage.

Wut? Victor is already a good hero. Arguably, not on defense, but not everyone needs to be defensive hero. Victor is Very Fast and for that speed he raises defense of entire team by 30%, by the time most of opponents are still charging. He also does damage to one target, steals their healing (incredibly valuable against healers) and puts a dot that can be strenghtened by further applications, which is easy given his speed, which is 6 tile-charge when with LV11 Mana troop.
Personally I kept using him on offense even after getting Clarissa fully ascended because defense up and heal steal is very valuable when against attrition teams. Not saying he’s top hero or something, but he is far from weak.

Unfortunately, people often only see what is visible like healed HP, they forgot to take into account the damage reduction from +30% defense as they are not visible.
I would prefer that Vanda could share the stolen health with all the team
That would be too hard for these developers to program.

I completely agree. While I only use Victor in war offense right now, he is already a good hero. The ability to stack dot, steal heal, and protect the team already make him usable in offense in pvp.
