For example if 500 attack cast spell vs 600 defense or 900 attack vs 1000 defense (same spell)?
Which one will do bigger dmg in numbers? If its the 900 attack, limit breakers benefit more to them.

Note that if those heroes have the same star, the increase in attack and defence will equal percentage wise, in your example, the attack is increased higher percentage wise.
Let me give example with slash damage of Ametrine against Sudri:

Def: 561 → 609
Health: 1268 → 1378
Power: 670 → 720

Def: 484 → 549
Health: 775 → 878
Power: 462 → 515

No-LB Ametrine against No-LB Sudri
Slash damage = 100 × (716 / 484) ^ 1.35 = 169
Sudri HP left = 775 - 169 = 606

LB Ametrine against LB Sudri
Slash damage = 100 × (778 / 549) ^ 1.35 = 160
Sudri HP left = 878 - 160 = 718
