My stronghold(?) is building toward level 6 with another several days left. That seems to just give some additional storage buildings for the most part with iron long maxed. With my mines at level 5, is the move from stronghold 6 to 10 to just upgrade mine storage, upgrade stronghold, and then rinse & repeat since you’ll be swimming in iron?
As a FTP upgrading the hatchery in the short term past level 2 isnt compelling, there isn’t anything to spend your fish on, eggs are stupid scarce and could be thrown into the hatchery, battle items are meh with crafting materials being slow to acquire so no real reason to upgrade the item craft building until the stronghold is done in a year.
Please say I’ve overlooked something
Edit: I get everyone here plays the main game but for (redundant?) clarity this is juxtaposed against the original game where getting several training camps to lvl 11 is hugely advantageous, you were in fairly constant need of food as 1* and 2* feeders were a thing, and even increasing recruit storage periodically made sense as you got recruits at a decent clip. Effectively none of that exists in Dragons. Depending on your POV that can be good or bad I guess
Hatchery is the thing I most want upgraded. One, I could use a holy hero so level 8 would be helpful. Two, getting level 10 up and running will probably be my biggest source of epic and legendary dragons.
I haven’t noticed any need for production, so I’ll leave those fairly low for the time. Fish storage has been enough for my needs so far. That leaves the dragon forge, which could probably help with harder levels. But I’m thinking I’ll need to build up a supply of crafting items.
So yeah, just power through to level 10? Seems boring. But I don’t see a much better option.
My strategy is to power the Spire to level 10, followed by the Hatchery to 10. I’ll do the food storage after that so that I can research the level 10 training. The goal is not the Spire to level 10 but to unlock training of 4* and 5* dragons. It’ll be my only real source seeing as how I will be spending no money to summon any.
The forge will be last for sure. I don’t have hardly any crafting items anyway. I won’t be able to autofarm safely until I get the more powerful dragons so it’s not like I’ll be getting many in the short term anyway. So yeah, in this game you need to either think looooong term or open up your wallet.
The dragon part of the game is pretty much unimportant anyway. Frankly, it was a huge waste of their time. I would much rather have had another season with some upgrades to buildings in my stronghold area instead.
City building in E&P has always been horrendously boring (and by design to make you buy the second builder).
Surprise! It still is horrendously boring now. Zero difference.
There is basically no strategy involved as everybody ends up with the same thing anyway. You can pick and choose what to build first. Yay!
In the original game more buildings are available, which adds a few more decisions, and maybe adds a few possibilities to optimize building patterns in regards to resource management, now with fewer buildings and longer upgrade time, they have removed resource management completely (from the previous low level) which benefits all the people who don´t want to think while building stuff (I guess 99% of players).
Just go in an hit build on any building, really doesn´t matter which one! And now that we have enough resources all the time, people complain about not having anything to do with them, and you know if they had lowered the resources, people would complain about not having enough resources to build stuff lol.
This is not a city building game! It is garbage for that purpose. If you want to play a city building game, go somewhere else! There are lots of really good choices out there! Even mobile games!
I personally enjoy the resource bonanza, no shortage of fish to upgrade dragons, no shortage of rocks for building, no shortage of anything ever! Doesn´t get easier than that! I don´t evern have to go raiding for resources! Just hit the upgrade button on any random building and in about a year and a half everybody will be done! And if you have a fav. building then go for it! You can´t do anything wrong here.
Unfortunately, though, I’m sure you’ll have to upgrade the Spire a little further as most buildings will plateau and say it’s max leveled until you bring the spire up another level and you cannot level the spire without increasing the storage. It’s a vicious circle to be sure
With two builders, I’m not having any trouble keeping the other buildings maxed. In fact, while finishing up 6 on the Dragonspire, I have two days with nothing else to build… everything else is maxed.
