Here is my defense team and the top of my modest roster.
Can the team be improved, other than levelling up the current selection?
If it’s relevant, Chao is gloves away from ascending (yes, already spent Farholm’s on Tibertus) and boril and skittle need lots of shields and capes.
And I’d be interested to know if you’d do it differently for war bonus as well, we have arrows this time.

Good tank (who reverse Atk & Def debuff), two reds to counter green attackers, one dispeller with overall fast attackers.
I have generally had more success raiding against color stacked teams than I have against rainbow teams. If you have 2 reds, and I stack 2 blues, I am now strong against 2 of your heroes.
I would use Kiril as your tank and go Rigard, Caedmon, Kiril, Chao, Scarlett in that order.
Rigard will cleanse any debuffs or DoT, Caedmon will get rid of enemy buffs, Kiril is, well, Kiril, Chao and Scarlett are fast hitters.
Once you get Tibs leveled, you could drop him in for Rigard
