4 * heroes’ costumes can be used on two or more heroes and 5 * ones can only be used on one. Is this true?
I mean the 5 * costume has to be leveled one by one

No, every costume can be used on multiple heroes (same hero of course ^^)…
But it’s true that you need to level every costume on his own (no matter if 4 or 5 *)

Costumes work the same on all heroes regardless of the rarity or summon location.
You need only one copy of the costume to be able to “unlock” and level it on all the copies of that hero you have.
As you noted, every individual copy of the hero must have their own version of the costume levelled on them.

They way I think about it is the “costume” you pull is a pattern for making the costume. You only need one pattern to make as many costumes as you have heros to dress up in them, but you have to make (level) each costume for each copy of the hero.
