Costume Alasie Balance Discussion: Needs a Nerf

We’re at the point where entire alliances are using multiples of her in war.

We’re at the point where in some raid defenses, the majority of the team consists of her.

We need to have a discussion of whether this hero is balanced or not. At fast speed, taking the mana of three heroes, and adding a mana debuff, is NOT balanced. Other heroes like Elizabeth apply a mana debuff but are average speed. Other heroes like Ruby can take the mana of three, but only on the second charge.

Yet here we have one hero who can do both, at fast speed. This isn’t balanced. Specials that take away your ability to control your characters and even do anything should be tightly controlled because there’s nothing more frustrating that alienates your player base. If C. Alasie in any one of the teams in the screenshot above goes off, you instantly lose the match. No hero should be that overpowering. You can recover taunt, from a big AOE, from a heal, from a snipe - but you can’t recover from not even being able to get mana or do anything. It’s a vicious cycle once you get into it.

Alfrike is bad enough, but thank god she is relegated mostly to rush wars (which is bad enough). C. Alasie is fast, and with Xnolphod she activates in just a few turns. I’m sure the win rate of teams with her is significantly higher than that of other teams.

The design team needs to look at this and address this. A good start would be to make the mana loss and debuff affect only the target and not all three.

Would only allowing unique heroes in teams be a good enough change?
I’m trying to parse out whether the real problem is C.Alasie or multiple C.Alasie.

Isn’t that costume behind one of the largest paywalls in the game?

I thought so too, but then I saw that screenshot of everyone in the alliance having her with 25/30 having two of her :scream:

In all honesty I think it’s a problem when it’s multiple “same” heroes - in this case Costume Alasie…

But the same could be said of Alfrike… as an example I faced a tournament team with two of her today …. They both fired and rendered four of my heroes useless- it was game over very quickly.

And isn’t it mainly an issue at the level you are playing at? Most will be either very big spenders or super lucky …

My personal view is that with the current power creep and the volume of super strong heroes being regularly pushed out into the live game - it’s all become stagnant, top heavy and boring. What about all the redundant S1 heroes, S2 heroes and HOTM that need some rebalance for players in “lower rankings” when they are on the battlefield

Just my two pennies worth

Edit: @byzanthia … just out of interest can you post a photo of your alliances war defence teams that faced Team Korea…. Many thanks in advance

Edit 2: @byzanthia … are you able to post a photo of your whole alliance war defence for this war? You didn’t reply ……

I could get behind not allowing two “same” heroes (though maybe an exception for S1 so that the guy who drew two Joons and leveled them isn’t shafted). Hero and Costumed hero should count separately, though. (My Green Titan team revolves around Wilbur, C-Wilbur and C-Marjana.)

You don’t get into a 7D alliance because you’re lucky. You get there by spending $$$$.

Don’t forget those defenses with two, three, four, five treevilles in VF 3-star tournaments, really fun days.

Alasie© is a variant version of Ruby, more suited for defenses. Of course she is “too much”.

 :joy:  :joy:
SGG’s metrics says she is not too frequent and she’s on pair with other heroes of the game. Look at Richard and Excera at average speed. Game is balanced, you guys are complaining too much.

I disagree Costume Alasie is totally fine. I W3K one shot 3 of them on the same team. Not sure your troops and roster development but 3 key greens with a taunt is quite easy. Every hero has a counter. Asking for nerfs because you do not know how to counter is unfair to the game!!! Sorry!

Enough with the nerf request! We have a ton of amazing heroes in the game, with more OP heroes constantly coming out. The solution is not to nerf heroes that players have spent money to pull!

No balance needed. Thank you

You have zero argumentation.

The screenshots speak for themselves. This hero is a pox upon higher level raiding and wars. Any hero that is used in two or even three spots in a single team, and then in EVERY team in the war, is NOT balanced.

Enough with all the nerfs. For gods sake. As soon as people try to fight a though team and loses they all start screaming nerf.

She is hardly the biggest problem out there……and Enough with the Nerfs already…Nerfs ruin the game.

Creo que te estás quedando atrás el juego está avanzando vertiginosamente con el lanzamiento de héroes y alassie no es rival para la mayoría de los “nuevos”

Stop making these posts. Every nerf is the straw on someone’s back. When an entire alliance is using her that ennntttiiiirrrreee alliance is gonna be mad if she’s nerfed.

Then that entire alliance might cut spending, unless of course this is masterful plan, you mad genius!

If we nerf every good hero that all the main spenders invested tons of money to get, they will rage and stop
Spending, then since theirs no funds SGG will
Have to make massive changes to win peoples back! I’m on board!

Ya nerf them all!

I’m starting to think that maybe some players need a nerf or maybe a buff  Either way, let the heroes be. The issue is clearly multiple Alasie’s rather than Alasie herself.

Verdict: No Nerf needed (For any hero in the wild at the moment imo)

Game Well :sunglasses:
