LOL I do the same thing myself.
Guess what. I made a raid team: Caedmon, BT, Justice, Kiril and LJ and when just won 3 times! I better stop before I loose again!
Thatās a solid raiding team!
I get your problems with raiding but as another user said itās a great way to make experiments, especially because if you lose you get two new revenge chances and can try a different team then if you have heroes for that and see how that works or doesnāt.
Great!
And thatās not a bad team at all!
Till you get more accustomed with managing the boards (readā¦ patiently suffering through a bad board), try to put fast mana heroes in your team as much as possible. And average mana, if fast is not available.
Slow heroes have strong special attacks- but they take their sweet time in charging their mana.
Congrats on your raid wins though! Must have felt exhilarating!
Fast heroes: Sartana, Sonya,Chao,Scarlet is what I have for maxed heroes.
You have a maxed Sartana. Use her please.
From the heroes youāve mentioned so far, I would try some combinations along the following lines:
BT, Sonya, Caedmon, Chao, Sartana. - this is rainbow team you can start with.
When you have a decent set of 4* heroes, itās ideal to make sure your team has heroes that fulfil the following roles
Healer (important at this stage)
Cleanser (important but rareā¦ if you have Rigard or costumed Sonya use one of them)
Dispeller (Sonya, Caedmon)
Defence reducer (Grimm, Tiburtus, Gormek - please work on one of them - in that priority order, Grimm is the favorite for most)
Snipers (you seem to have a good number of them.)
The idea is:
Healer keeps your team alive
Defence reducer makes the opponent team squishy
Snipers then pick out each weak enemy one at a time.
Obviously, youāll learn many more nuances as you playā¦ but I believe once you nail these basics down, youāll gain more confidence. And of course, when raiding, try to pick some weaker opponents to get started (choose opponents with 200-300 TP lower than your raiding team). And avoid attacking Kashhrek teams at this stage to avoid getting disheartened.
(Although I have provided a rainbow team suggestion, If you like to color stack, then see which hero youād like to replace while keeping in mind you stick to the above basics).
Hope this helps.
@CaptainjaKCsparrow;, I have Grimm, Tiburtus and Gormek all maxed. Unfortunately I donāt have a Sonya costume. I do colour stack with Titans but that is because the Titans are 5/6 titans and my performance is usually an A or B there, so am confident enough to stack colour. I usually avoid teams with Rigard, he is hard to kill
You can start with a base rainbow team of
BT/Kiril - Grimm/Gormek - Caedmon - Chao - Sartana
(Ideally, I prefer Tiburtus to Gormek. However, I do not want to remove Sartana from that team. hence settling for Gormek as the other defence down option)
See how that team works for you and modify it for color stacking accordingly.
Couple of more pointers:
-
Try not to remove Sartana from your raid team. She is your hardest hitter.
-
Titans are different game. Sniper damage hardly tickles them. You need to focus on building a team that maximizes the tile damage (around the titanās weak color)
-
For titans, to keep your team alive, Wilbur is a very big asset. Use him if you have him.
-
For titans, to maximize your scores, Wu Kong is a must in your team.
(Please note that all my above suggestions are based on some assumptions such as you donāt have a heavy 5* roster, you donāt already have Titan specialists such as Miki, Tarlak, Guardian Gazelle etc.)
Hope this helps.
On the one hand, raiding can be great practice for wars. On the other hand, wars can be great practice for raiding. I didnāt like raiding myself until I joined an alliance and started participating in wars.
Of course now I raid with a 3-2 colour stack and war with a mono colour stack so neither one helps the other anymore .
@CaptainjaKCsparrow; In Titan battles I have Wu and Wilbur with some emblems on them And usually have BT in there as well, the other two I use of the same colour most of the times. My 5* heroes that are levelled are Sartana, Justice and Grazul. Magni, Drake, Gregorion and Danza are yet to be levelled. Tiburtus however has got 10 emblems. Gormek only 1.
For raiding, I always use two healers (in different colours) to help with surviving bad starting boards. The real trick to doing well in raids is learning how to work the boards to maximize the colours you want. NittanyLionRoar has some excellent youtube videos on that.
Hereās an example:
Great. Focus on stacking as much as possible against the titanās weak color. That should be enough to deal with 6-7* titans easily.
This is great advice. If I were in your position, Iād follow this, @Phoenix27
Love your attitude and honesty. Very refreshing. If you do decide to raid, I would just go with a mono team against the tank. This way, if you lose, you can just blame it on not getting tiles, and if you winā¦ yippie! Just donāt forget, even the person ranked 1 in the world right now will get attacked and lose hundreds and hundreds of trophies in minutes. Everyone loses. Donāt let it get you down. Itās great practice and thatās really all it is. I wish you great success whatever you decide to do.
I tend to fire of my special quicker then I should hoping they will die. The video is helpful though. Will watch it is few more times to let it sink it. I realise I need to take a little time to decide my next move in a raid. The moment I go into a raid and get hit I panic and go too quickly wanting to get it over with. Slow down and breath should be my raid motto!
Thatās a good idea. I never run the tc20ās cause I have most of the season 1 heroes or am hoping to get the remaining ones from Costume Chamber. The recruits do become an issue. I might have to adjust my strategy. Thank you.
Mine too at times. Many is the time I make a move that ALMOST kills the opponent hero only to get hit and all my heroes are in the red. Sometimes I get pissed off and end up losing. Sometimes I take a deep breath, relax, and somehow eke out a win anyway. Best was in last Challenge event, I beat one level Epic bosses (13 or 14?) with one hero left ā Caedmon, with two health points. It was awesome that Gazelle hit her allies when she died to make it happen. But about four moves before that I figured I was dead.
I am doing this too, TC11 for recruits, TC20 for food. Both of mine are over 200 days. I also have some 1500 feeders sitting in TC19 waiting for the darts in POV for Malosi. Iāll be transferring from TC20 to TC11 to get the required food for that.
I may actually be speed leveling a hero like a whale
haha Iām sitting at about 200 feeders per camp and feeling the same way. I look at my training camps and thinkā¦ Iām hanging with the big boys. (or girls)
Just had a look at my camp: 732 in TC 11,setting up another TC11. The other two TC are level 20/13.
