Careful what you wish for (Holy Healers edition)

Naively I wished for a holy healer, thinking well with Sabina, Melendor, Kiril and BoldTusk, that would round out the selection. SG cackled evily and did… this. Well played SG. Well played. Who would be your pick if you had to choose just one?

Not sure I can pick just one. I have D’Andre maxed, lb’d and +20. Love his mana increase. I just drew Gulli and I’m excited to get the pig leveled because of the overheal. Once Gulli is leveled, both will see high usage in my teams.

I don’t have Wang Yuanji, but she has overheal too, so she might be a candidate to keep too.

I won’t feed the rest (well, I guess I should trash the duplicates) but with gloves and compasses in short supply if I do one the others will sit for a long time. I was thinking D’Andre might be the most versatile…

D’Andre and Gully are amazing…I have two dupes of each. The other’s you only need one of and Viv without costume isn’t much better than any of the 4 star healers.

Personally I would max Gullin first, he is absolutely amazing and worth maxed copy.
Overheal combined with his damage makes him versatile hero that is great everywhere.

Also if you have maxed Poseidon then Woolerton could be my choice, I’m using them together and fast healer without mana debuff (because of Poseidon buff) is great.

Wow, congratulations :tada: I think D´Andre is the best and most versatile one. That said, Fiends seem to be hard to counter against, so having someone to take those away sure wouldn´t be the worst these days? Tough choice!

I think I´d do D´Andre first. Then Wang Yuanji. Then Gullin. (Secretly I´d do Motega very first, because I just love his design, send him my way, please :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:)

Erm nope, no Poseidon. I literally have 6 maxed 4*s and only one glove/compass combo left. I’ve only been playing 2 months and suffering through the mat shortage currently. It makes choosing who to level excruciating.
MAXED:
Ferant
Franz
Kiril
Ingolf
Mist
Wilbur

I’ve certainly had a lot of good experience with him, while my Gulli experience has only been longing sighs as alliance mates (and opponents) used him up until now.

From our currently-very-limited war data, teams with Gullinbursti have averaged more survivability (percent of times they were attacked where the battle ended with defenders still standing) than teams with D’Andre. Lady W. showed up even fewer times, but teams with her on them fall in-between D’Andre and Gulli for survivability so far. Because I’ve only got a few wars worth of data though, that might still be noise/war rule dependent, so take with a sizable grain of salt. If you’re not planning to use any of them in your war defense, then ignore this whole paragraph.

Also, for the current average HP across the entire population of heroes, D’Andre gives a small amount more of healing (413 HP on average vs. Gulli’s 400) but doesn’t have the overheal. I should add that “entire population” includes 1 & 2 star heroes, too, so 413 is probably lower than what you’d see on a team that is presumably at least 3 star and higher.

I always forget about D’Andre’s def down flip, but that can be useful too.

Ultimately, I suspect you might be right on D’Andre being more versatile (and many of the responses after I started typing this seem to agree too). I suspect either one will prove very useful to you, so you can choose based on whether you want the mana boost for slower heroes or the attack component. I might keep the dupes if you have the roster space though.

I’m trying to be good and letting the 5*s sit while I concentrate on amassing ascension mats. Otherwise, absolutely cries on the inside

I think that at your level (your other healers are 4* and probably most of your army is 4* + not enough 3* unfarmable mats), I would go first with lady Woolerton, as it is a fast healer and she heals a lot.

Afterwards I would go for Gullinbursti. And depending who you have to fight more (fiend makers or defense down heroes), third I would go with Wang or D’Andre (my guess is that probably you fight more def down heroes than fiend makers)

Aww, I totally understand that. All in good times, something to look forward to

I prefer D’Andre in raids and Gully going through the map stages. Tough to choose one, both are 2 of the top in the game IMO.

Deja vu. … . lol

Okay okay, in all seriousness here is how I would go about it.

  • Do you feel like you are barely activating healers in time? If so Lady Woolerton is your gal, or sheep, or sheep gal(?)
  • Do you feel like other heroes outside of your healers are struggling to activate? D’Andre is your juggling circus freak then!
  • Do you run into Elizabeth in the school yard all the time and she always makes you cry? Then clearly you need Wang Yuanji as your bodyguard.

In the picture? Motega of course.

If it’s about 4*s then I would still pick Gulli, but with LBs and all D’Andre is great.
You can’t go wrong

Gullinbursti gets my vote. I have him on max +20 and LB. And he is superb…
But whichever hero you choose good luck

Unrelated (partially related?) sidenote, it makes me happy to start to recognize some familiar faces from previous threads :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Thanks for dropping by again

The rest of my current crew is average at best right down to as slow as watching paint dry so this is very solid advice. I may be best served by D’Andre to start to offset Franz’s sluggishness.
