Can't seem to find red troops for farming

I’ve been playing since about October and usually farm 8-7. I have an abundance of troops in all colours except for red. I’m actually delighted if I see a 1* red troop drop from my usual farm drops so I can beef them up with that magical 40 exp :stuck_out_tongue:

Any ideas where best to find them or are troop drops totally random?

Side note: my 4* troops are all maxed out at lvl 9 for the other 4 colours and I’ve loads of troops to feed into them once my barracks are upgraded but I’ve literally no red troop feeders and I’m stuck at 4* level 7 for red.

I’ve noticed a s8milar shortage of red feeders. I’m wondering whether the odds of a [color] troop dropping depend on the frequency of [color] monster in the province or area. 8-7 has no fire monsters.

I get an abundance of reds. Green being the most common, followed by purple. Its chance n random. Can always train.

Usually 20-4 gives red troops (quite logic for the kind of stage)

This is what you are up against.

When I started playing I did not know what to do with troops and of course had no barracks to use them, so they simply piled up. Figured out that some were better than others but the system automatically assigns them well enough at that point. However, it was always lacking a red troop. The only one it had was the basic starter.
The first red troop I got was the forty eighth overall.
Take the tile field on the battle screen, add one row across the bottom and a column down the end, put one red tile in the field. That is exactly the same odds.
I have seen it once.

Thanks for the info level. I’ve actually pulled a good troop but my ask was around the farming of red troops for feeding them.

Can’t seem to find a level to do so but I’m gonna try 20-4 and see how I get on

The info I have suggests 20-4 as well, but also lists 11-6 and 6-8 for mid- and low- level farming…hope this helps.

This is for finding “full red” campaign levels to help fill red Rare Wanted chests. I don’t know if it will help you find red troops. :confused:

Not at all! I hope you find troops there. My only point was, that wasn’t what the list was for, and might be giving you false hope.

Since that previous experience I have been keeping track of troops, and other things. Have not noticed any color preference anywhere. As far as best overall for troops, that is a work in progress…

I thought I’d stick a reply in here considering what I orignally noticed seems to have changed…

I’ve actually received loads of red farming troops over the last number of weeks.

Tbh, I’ve seen so many that I think the devs may have seen this post and noticed an issue with troop colour percentages! I’ve had more red troops than any other colour since posting.

I wish I tracked numbers so I could post data but heres to laziness…

Hi folks, I’ve only been playing a few days but I’m in a similar position - I’ve not had a single red troop, but have a total of 30 other troops… Did we decide that 6-8 is a good place to get them or is it all random?
