Belladonna - 5* Dark / Purple from Challenge Festival 2

Yeah most important is how good each hero is to the player thats playing with it
Maybe underestimate her a little right now as i have not played with her

Healers are terrible on defense. She can cast 10 times for all I care. Once my mana is full, I kill 3 with full HP.

Healers are tile dumps on defense. Overheal is better but still bad.

On defense you get a hidden 20% defense and attack bonus, hence why most OP teams are leveraging that to murder the attacking team.

noxy :expressionless:

not 2 long ago we had a reign of two heal tanks til both got erased by those money vampires from finland

M & M did much more than just heal. Not the same thing.

xnolphod?

20 healers on def

It was the mana gain man. Healing was never a factor.

it wasnt the main part of his skill but for sure was a part of a superb tank package

Noxyking is right. A healer does not belong in defense unless they have other useful parts in their special skills.

  • Guinevere: mana cut, purple def up
  • Telluria: mana debuff
  • Xnolphod: mana gain (and making purple on offense useless)
  • M&M: overheal, beefy minions, rage buff, buff steal, ailment
Those skill created pressure on the attacker so he can’t just dump tiles into the tank.

Belladonnas dispel immunity is not enough to make it on that list.

Furdinand has none of the mentioned skills, and is a very strong defender

Well, it was obviously not an exhaustive list. But you would agree that Furdinand is a good tank not only because of his heal but because of his other skills, no?
And personally I don’t agree that he is a very strong defender. You can dump endless tiles into him until your dispeller is charged. But I understand why many players find him very strong

You cant look heroes in a vacuum but in combination with whole lineup.

Belladonna can work on defense I believe // for example Hachiko with undispellable counter attack and crit which works nicely with Belladonna attack buff

She is replacing Hawthorn and I love a healer with perks as a tank that eventually are just a sacrifice for my aggressive offense. M&M was still my fav - RIP. WP also got neutered after they released the minion silence heroes

Can easily maintain 2700-2800 Trophies without effort. Her attack boost should get my Anne’s close to one shotting territory.

My other combo will involve using Hachiko & c.Freya with her.

I think the term healer is being being taken too literally. Healers have been prominent on defense and most have had additional skills to make them more prominent, but, isn’t that the deal with the majority of heroes? How many 5 stars have heal for 40 percent and that’s it? Same goes for attack heroes; most have additional skills to pair with their attack, like defense down. Just my 2 cents.

Great f2P roster hahah

Please let me know, how Hachiko and Belladonna work out on defense

Belladona’s passive of cutting direct mana gain in half is extremely limited. It doesn’t work on buffs, and of course it doesn’t work on other passives. Leaving those out, you’re left with a tiny pool of heroes who directly increase mana like Xnolphod does.

Rhys has the same passive and I was completely disappointed when I realized it doesn’t affect Ludwig’s buff.

Ya I think better terminology would’ve been primary and secondary healer. I still consider her a primary; Ferdinand and Hawthorne moreso secondary

Her Bard family passive is amazing for average speed heroes; even fast heroes like c.Freya - 6tiles and especially once she is LB2

The person I quoted made reference to “nullyfing oponents” so I assumed they were referring to the cutting direct mana boosts in half.

I agree that the 5% mana is amazing and opens up new breakpoints for a lot of heroes. I was even mad that they made all S1 into a family because it limited teambuilding with bards (now I think it would have been to much on top of improved talents and double costumes).

The way this game is going that immunity to dispel is huge especially paired with the right heros, also don’t forget about the +54% attack for 4 turns, that’ll be very helpful during battles. I can see her as a top 10 healer soon.

Same, I would have preferred phenexa, but got this one instead. Arco is still better than her imo
