I have a problem with Sharan: The Ascending Button is disabled.
I’ve thought, they fixed it, but it doesn’t work.
I am a bit confused, I have Sharan on Max. Level 20, but do I have to get her special ability also to the highest Level 8/8 because atm I am on 4/8. Please help me!

The special skill has to be maxed too to unlock the Talent Grid.
The good news is that once you’ve maxed a hero to their final level, if their special skill hasn’t maxed, the odds for it leveling up vastly increase — so much so that it’s possible to guarantee it will level up with the right combination of heroes.
Here’s the breakdown of special skill leveling for an otherwise maxed hero:
You can also mix and match, like 3 2* heroes and 4 1* heroes to get to 100%.
Just watch out that the percentages are half as much if the color doesn’t match the hero you’re feeding. So you’d need 10 2% non-red heroes fed at once instead of 5 red heroes fed at once, for instance.
Since Sharan is a 1* hero, and relatively common to get from World Map stages or training camp level 2, feeding a duplicate Sharan is probably your best bet.

But do I have to reach for a ascent exact the 100 % or is it ok for example to level it up at 80 % or 90 %?
I guess yes, because the chance is that high, but if I have bad luck and I don’t get up, I have wasted the food, right?
Yeah, I wouldn’t risk it, go for 100%
The cheapest way is definitely going to be to use 1 duplicate Sharan at a time for 4 times.
Another short question to my guard tower:
I have to have a second team who is defending the tower, right? Because at the moment I have just one strong 5 hereos team, should I level them up at first or level a 2nd team for the tower rather?

@chiller462…you do not have to have a second team, your team that you have now will be your defense team. You have to always have a defense team designated, so once you get more heroes you can start choosing which ones work together best in which positions .
When you click on your hero roster, at the bottom is an edit team button, click it and then you can swipe back and forth between teams…same when you click on raids avatar, so you can switch teams to use for attack depending on your opponents strengths and weaknesses.
Work on what you have for now, because a strong team will help get you the materials needed for ascending other heroes, and for many other things. As you get 3*, focus on a strong 3* team…then on to 4* etc.
I am so glad you cam e to the forums early in your journey…It took me awhile and I made some crazy mistakes lol.

1* and 2* heroes won’t be of use for super long.
Once you upgrade your Stronghold to at least 12, and upgrade a Training Camp to at least 12, you can train guaranteed 3* heroes. Training Camp 13 is a tiny bit better, with a small (roughly 2-4%) chance for 4* heroes.
Since you don’t plan to spend money on the game, your Training Camps will be the main source of your heroes.
Depending on your building progress, I actually would consider continuing to collect and hold onto red 1* and 2* heroes and not leveling them if you’re close to being able to train 3* heroes. It looks like you have the roster space to keep that up for a bit while you feed other colors.
Yes, Trainer Heroes are basically for feeding to other heroes, and despite coming fully ascended, aren’t very powerful or useful. But they can be better than 1* or 2* heroes until you have better options, so sometimes people use them until they get better heroes.
It is possible to level troops by building a Barracks, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a priority for quite a while. Troop upgrades are extremely expensive in food costs by comparison to feeding heroes.
There’s also a good chance you don’t yet have troops worth leveling. Only 3* and 4* troops make much sense to level, and as a player not spending any money, it will likely take you weeks to months to acquire good 3* troops, and months to years to acquire 4* troops in all of the colors. And without spending a large amount of money on the game, leveling 4* troops is a multi-year endeavor.
