I have Jackal but I just got him and he’s not leveled at all so one hit he will be dead. My “good” yellow heroes are all 5 star Joon/Drake etc. I have a maxed Li I’m gonna bring her for sure, but my only leveled 4 stars right now are Grimm Caedmon BT and Cyprian, and he’s not allowed. So I’m left with only 4 really tier 4 level heroes. The rest are mid or 3/4 way so like Proteus is on 2/22 Kiril is on 2/35 Sonya 2/40 Boril 2/27 Hansel 3/36 Wilbur 3/4 Gretel 2/1 Melendor 3/60 they are too weak.
Then I have heroes like Triton/Kashhrek/Sumitomo/Gadeirus/Agwe etc who are not leveled at all…
All that to say, I’m gonna be beat up quickly lol

Rigard is out - ailment dealers will possibly be the threat this time without any allowed cleanser.

Yup, I also anticipate seeing a lot of Little Johns and Guardian Owls, Colens, and a lot of the slow heroes rearing their heads.
Probably not owl, but definitely agree on the dot heroes like Colen being the go here. Can’t even use Gill Ra to cleanse…

An emblemed Li Xiu could potentially be a 4* Guinevere for this tournament.

Have one, but she’ll stay at home hoping my Little John +18 will be the better mana controller. Fire may punish him, but on rush he probably will cast at least once a battle.

I’m not gonna field mono holy, since they won’t put as many bad ailments.
Hu also will be maxed and get some talent nodes until it’ll start. I reset my Boldie for him and take both to +5 instead of Boldie +11.
You’ll need Boril for attacks to counter all those rushing ultrabrutal AoE threats. Mele hopefully will dispel riposte before.

Yeah, this sounds like a good strategy. I don’t have either Lixiu/HuTao/LittleJohn maxed, so unfortunately I will be fielding poor Chao… 
This is my probable defense team.

i rather put Boldtusk / Colen in Middle than Chao , at least it would punish more if opponent got bad board , with Chao as tank opponent will be okay if got bad board , Chao only hit one target

If emblemed imo Wu could tank successfully here with no darks to kill him faster as hell.
