Who is the best fire member of the family?

I got lucky and got Toxicandra, Dark Lord, Isrod and Karnov in challenge festival 2. I do have Asterius since before.
I’m leveling Toxicandra as we speak and will start with Dark Lord when I’m done with cFreya but which :fire: family member should make family bonus complete?

Please explain your choice.

I see Asterius has 100% of the 5 votes right now. I voted for Asterius. For me it’s about the defense down. Neither is a stud hero alone.

Feel compelled to defend the honor of Isrod.

  1. Paladin with good stats for surivivability. Paladin talent makes him HARD to kill.
  2. Riposte is fantastic against the big AoE oppoents
  3. Mana gain each time you are hit, little minion pings count so it adds up in minion heavy battles.
  4. Hits for solid damage. Easy to forget that a riposte hero hits for damage.

Have him at +20, run him with Toxi and Dark Lord and they do very well. The family bonus is immensely helpful for survivability.

Some additional thoughts:
Diaochan - Asterius is better, her minions steal buffs so Asterius being an ailment cast has a major advantage.
Caitlyn, Louhi, Kage, Ametrine - Current and future Dispell First heroes make Asterius the better choice.
C3K & Buff Blockers: Asterius
Ailment Blockers: Isrod
AoE - Isrod clearly.
Cleansers - Isrod

Do you have another top tier defense down hero that you plan to use with them? If yes, Isrod.

Who do you battle and who do you expect to battle make a major difference in the choice.

Of the two, I only have Isrod and love riposte making my decision easier.

Both will serve you well as you have the maximum family bonus so it also boils down to which you will enjoy more based on your playing style.

With many of the new heroes stealing buffs, blocking buffs, blocking ailments etc. It is hard to know exactly which will serve better for longer.

Isrod And Toxi work great together. For defense reasons, pick Isrod.

For Titans and challenge events, go Asterius.

Asterius for titans can do his job well also at 3/70.

I like Isrod more cause of his riposte. Put him next to Toxi and see your mana boost like crazy and with all those AOE cards, Isrod serves the damage back with joy,
I like Isrod mainly against Minion teams. Those pesky minions help mana up pretty fast once he fires. I use Theobald with him as they complement each other against minion teams.

good evening everyone, asterius and isrod (for me) are different in characteristics, isrod a defense hero, placed alongside those who generate mana from annoyance with his reflection also recovers mana (can be canceled with hero who cleans the enemy magic) asterius excellent in attack side by side with elemental defense lowering type marjana c, it does enormous damage in addition to the burn 149 points for 3 turns (they hardly remain alive) on 3 opponents, therefore totally different, so you have to evaluate if you want a good hero in defense and excellent in attack (asterius) or a hero only in defense? I use asterius together with marjana c and it is excellent
