As I recall, from facing Aconia as a boss in the Elemental quest, @ProfessorPenguin is spot on about āregularā cleansing healers ā anyone who heals for enough to remove the fiend, then does a cleanse, prevents the Bleed from doing any damage (unless the target is already under a āailments are uncleansableā ailment).
As for ailment-block, though: if regular Hathor fires, if her boost-heal is enough to remove the fiend then the bleed goes off right then, Iād imagine, so the ailment block would come too late. However, if Hathor has fired before Aconia, then when she fires again, the bleed would not be able to take effect if ailment block is already up before the heal.
This is informed guesswork from the wording, as I donāt have an Aconia to test, myself, so Iād be curious if someone could confirm.
This would also imply that cHathor might be a better counter to Aconia daggers, since cHathorās healing is boost-over-time. By time enough healing accrues to remove the dagger, the block is up before the removalā¦
As I understand it, fiends by themselves never generically prevent minions, but adding fiends to a card after it has minions can push the minions off the card if (number minions) + (number fiends) > 3.
If youāre talking about cDiaochan and the āunstoppable minionā effect, thenā¦ wellā¦ they canāt be stopped (does what it says on the label) or directly removed, but Iām pretty sure even āunstoppableā minions on cDiochan (or on other āunstoppableā costumed W3K summoning cards) can still be pushed off by adding fiends, which isnāt considered āremovalā (see, e.g. discussion here).
The problem with that is that Diaochan/cDiaochan is Fast, so good luck pushing all her minions off without her quickly replacing them. (Someone like Ramona, who adds three fiends all in one go, is a way of shoving all the minions off, though every time Diaochan fires, a new minion will shove one of the fiends off the card.)
ā
Another note when it comes to fiends:
Mega Minions displace all fiends, and prevent all fiends (unless you first do enough damage to destroy the Mega Minion before adding fiend(s) ā and Aconia does no direct damage at all, only as a consequence of fiend hitting over time or Bleed resulting from if the fiend is healed away).
So Aconia canāt do much to MegaMinioners (sure, if you can wipe out the MM some other way, you can still tag the MM summoner with a dagger, but the dagger will presumably be displaced-without-triggering-Bleed on the next MM summon).
ā
On the flip side, Aconiaās Bleed mechanic is not shabby against priority-cleanse healers (which are often desirable, but not in the case of Aconiaās daggers) or, of course, against healers which donāt cleanse at all (which is actually a fair number of healers), and her fiends do pretty high damage compared to most fiends ā and in a way that isnāt so easily mitigated by high defense or Toon immunities or such.
