A Log of past Tournaments, and an overview of how Raid Tournaments work, including Special Rules and Restrictions, Attacking, Matchmaking, Defense Grade, Scoring, and Rewards.
Team for the tournament, Belith and Berden are the only emblemed heroes available. Oberon and Chochin as obvious choice and Gato for utilitiy. I have no costumes, I may put Tyrum if I get him to 3.50 I won´t be able to level my Gunnar because al blue food is going to my recently ascended Boril.
I was thinking about damage+mana control for this one. Chochin should be sturdy enough to be a tank (dmg + mana generation slow), Bauchan on the flank for dmg and mana cut. Grevle for survivability, Bjorn and Nordri for dmg.
I do have options to make it more passive, but sturdier - c.Gunnar +9 and c.Hawkmoon +9. I’d be happy to hear if there’s a good idea how to include them.
Tank+wings I think I’m pretty settled on, flanks TBD but so far leaning towards double blue to entice attackers to stack green because:
only one mana controller (Carver, but weak AoE)
green has the least amount of hitters (Berden, Mnesseus, Hisan, Isshtak, Carver) and none of them hit particularly hard
only one hero to counter Gill-ra’s attack debuff (Grevle)
Contrast this with red where you have multiple mana controllers (Bauchan, Ei-dunn, Azar) or blue where you have more hitters (Valen, Gato, Jarvur, Vodnik, Nordri, Chick Jr, Karil) and some of them hit particularly hard and/or give secondary effects.
So I’m trying to build my defense around encouraging a green stack instead of red or blue, since blue can output a ton of damage very quickly and red has some excellent options for slowing my defense down.
I’m so glad I’ve just maxed my new Shrubbear. Also it’s time to power level An-Windr. If I can’t do it on time, than Bjorn will be my tank (standing between Chochin and cRenfeld
Bauchan was such a terror to me the last time I faced him in a very fast tournament that I’m keen to put him to use now that I have him. I’m leaning towards team 2 with Gill-ra at tank for the debuffs and cleanse, Bauchan and Cochin for their mana shenanigans and Brienne hopefully to make up for the lack of punching damage. My only concern with team 2 is it lacks any healing or defensive buffs.
Bauchan is a beast, with his manacut and manabuff. Once c-renfeld gets going, he keeps on stealing mana (maybe better in wing?). Grevle for overheal and attackbuff, belith and tyrum then for dispell and cleanse.
