The current PoG just gave me my 19th lifetime alpha aether. I haven’t used any yet and don’t/wont spend money to acquire them. So these are all the free ones I’ve accumulated since release. I gave myself 20 as the number I was comfortable with before I pulled the trigger to LB2 my first hero. Since I am close to that now I could use your advice.
I’ve narrowed it down to Pengi or Arco, but am attaching a photo of my top 5 strongest heroes for reference in case there are other opinions. Happy to share other heroes as well if requested.
I use Pengi and Arco in pretty much every facet of the game. Raid/war defense AND offense, auto farming, towers, and challenge events. Pengi also gets a nod as my MT specialist.
So who would you chose? Thank you in advance for your help!
Hmm I now realize I should have asked people to specify who the “someone else” they think I should LB2 is. Someone from the roster photo I shared? An imaginary better hero I don’t have yet?
Thank you for the feedback! And I agree those are better options, but I don’t have either. The 5 I shared are, in my opinion, my best contenders. I also briefly considered Loki because he’s so fun but not versatile enough for my first LB2.
I have both Arco and Pengi, and the Penguin is the only one at 90. Killing mobs and bosses faster gives more points compared to your team being able to survive longer. And to me, that is more rewarding loot-wise than improving my raid/war win rate by percentage points, or keeping my defense at xyz cups.
Pardon my extreme ignorance, but I was looking to make a post asking specifically about green 3* heroes, and I cannot figure out how to do that. Any help?
Thank you all for the input! As I was waffling back and forth myself for many of the reasons others expressed here, it helps to know I am not alone And no matter what, I feel relief that the majority seem to agree they are both solid choices for my roster.
@Liam_K given our mutual love of events and my deep respect for your knowledge there, you may have tipped me back towards Pengi.
Until that elusive 20th alpha aether finds me I still time to decide and will keep the poll up for a bit as well.
So true! I will remind myself of that @nevarmaor once I make the final call.
I could blow through 10 million ham in the blink of an eye, but I’ve been downright miserly with LB2. But as expensive as alpha aethers feel (and my luck has been 0 in the portal), I don’t want to be so conservative that LB3 is here before I make a decision.
I chose Arco for his unique ability to convert fiends to minions. I see fiends more and more often in the newer heros coming out.
Edit: BTW very nice choices have … my 2nd choice was goretooth (a beast offensively)
Got my first alpha aether from the summons portal today! Now finally at 20. Given how often I use both Pengi and Arco (and usually in tandem) I may throw conservative caution to the wind and do both
