defense-up Defense Up At the start of each battle, this Hero gets +20% defense for 6 turns.
In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.
:no_entry_sign: Resist: Resist Defense Ailments
This character has innate resistance against status ailments that affect defense. Doesn’t apply to status ailments that affect elemental defense.
:hourglass: Ability: Heal when status ailment expires or cleared
This character receives 5% health each time a status ailment expires or is cleansed, removed or reallocated from them. This effect can activate only once per turn.
:dizzy: Special Skill: Dance of the Black Swan
  • Boosts health for all allies by 475. Boosted health can exceed max HP.
  • Casts Dance of the Black Swan to all allies but caster for 4 turns. All existing status effects will be removed when this effect is added.

  • Dance of the Black Swan
    • At the end of each turn the dancers deal 155% damage to a random enemy and boosts health for themselves for 25% damage dealt.
    • Gives immunity to new status effects. New dance status effects will replace this effect.
    • This effect cannot be dispelled. The effect is removed when the caster dies.

Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • +5% / +10% / +15% attack.
  • +5% / +10% / +15% defense.
  • +5% / +10% / +15% HP.

  • Attack is increased from 990 to 1065.
  • Defense is increased from 871 to 953.
  • Health is increased from 1625 to 1849.
  • Mana generation effect is removed.
  • The aborbed boosted health is reduced from 35% to 25% of the dealt damage in the dance effect.

Ummm… Wtf?! I only did 15 pulls, what are the odds???

Only, I’m not that excited, cuz the mana gen is gone. You take such a hit with these SS - not being able to use any buffs - that the effects that they offer really have to make up for that, and be something. And without that mana gen, I fear this SS just isn’t worth [that].

Around 50 pulls total, and I actually collected the entire set! That’s only ever happened to me once before (last Morlovia)… amazing.

Ofc, a secret part of me wanted Christine Daae, Odette and Firmin slightly more, but maybe I’ll be delighted with this result (in time) instead. It’s always hard to know with new heroes vs established, esp as I haven’t had time to cover quite yet :crazy_face: Least this makes up for some of my bad luck recently! Let’s hope next week will cover the rest… contest of Elements and Astral Elves, I’m looking at you!

Each of the dancers will attack? So 4 times status effect damage for the next 4 turns…Is this going to be Luna slow again because screw that

I really wanted her, but they removed the mana re-gen? ughh that is such a shame. But yes, this is a Luna/Darkfeather sort of hero mechanic. Should be great since it is all allies and damage dealing is 100% certain, not at 50% like Darkfeather.

Damaged has been reduced from 35% to 25%
20% Mana regen removed.

Still a great hero, but will not be the upset she could otherwise have been.

Even then darkfeather is way superior imo. Using odile or even odette means you won’t be able to buff anything on yourself, which DF doesn’t have that limitation. He has the versatility to use others buffs alongside his extra damage which makes him so much more versatile

Well, not sure how impressed I am since the mana gen was removed but I did 48 pulls and nothing but 3 & 4*, took a break bought the cheapie ws deal and tried again. She appeared on pull # 8

I am with you, and the same time I am not.
I have Odette as well, and the mechanic of removing status effects is quite nifty and the damage being certain is different. Healing amount will of course wear off during a battle, but while the mechanic is the same, the heroes are quite different. I use Odette, DF and Luna in different situations and teams, and while similar, the actual effect is quite different. I really wanted Odile also to pair with Firmin, as the damage increase also increase the heal. So for me, the difference would be worth levelling her for.

But DF is still one of the best heroes of the game, not taking that away from you or the conversation. Wither and growth mechanic is a must-have for anyone, almost regardless of which hero.

After just facing a team that already had a 2lb Odile, congrats to all that get her. She is annoying to face. Since the hit is on every turn end and not dependent on a special going off, the damage can add up quick, especially if paired with a defense down hero. Lost all 3 matches I faced her on

My issue with Odette,Siegfried and Odile is that they are no real counter to all the Chang‘e and Timius you find in all the defenses despite the wording on their specials suggesting something different.

Their special says that they will remove all existing status effects when their dance effect is added. However since Chang‘e aliment prevents any new status effects on ennemies and allies or Timius makes you immune to new status effects, Odette/Siegfried/Odile do zero,nada.

Wish they had rewritten their special and the priority order to:

• Removes all existing status effects on allies except the caster
• Cast Dance of the Black Swan/Heron/Swan

Like that they would be more desirable among top players. They are only good in top wars if you can fire them before the defense fired and how often does that happen :joy:

There is no protection for Odile though. With odette its her super dodge, siegfried with DR. All her dancers have is overboost with no means of other protection. Yeah she resists status effects, every dance out there has that. If you can’t apply ailments on them, just hit them hard enough with your buffed heroes
They are literally sitting swans over there against hitters. Heroes like frond can just destroy them immediately. This is why I think the 20% mana gen is so important to her dance because it’s should be used as a compensation for her lack of additional protection, and they removed it…
But this is all hypothetical, she has her pluses and minuses that I’m not sure about how she works on defence

Timius yes, but this is still not going to help against chang e as the affected can’t cast any status effects.

I think Luna is slower. I would say it seemed to be about the same speed as Waterpipe’s minions.

Agree. Without the additional protection, she is more exposed. Now time will tell what the verdict will be across the meta.

Just faced her at 4/89 and let me tell you that she’s far from being bad. Infact she’s a royal pain in the…
My TP is 6600ish, cups sit at around 3300-3500 and even though the opponent was reduced to 4 heroes in the second round, mine at full health, she eventually destroyed my team bit by bit. ALL opponents where hitting for around 400 damage at the end of every round, Luna is a teddy bear compared to her mechanic lol. ANNOYING? HELL YEAH!! :rofl::rofl:
