Need help understanding how odette works. I thought she works the same way as gg and her cards even says ‘removes all status effects and replace them’ but it doesn’t work when allies are immune to new buffs.

Need help understanding how odette works. I thought she works the same way as gg and her cards even says ‘removes all status effects and replace them’ but it doesn’t work when allies are immune to new buffs.
Why?±
Because they have to be able to receive the “Dancing buff” to have anything else removed. Being buff blocked stops them from receiving the dancing buff.
If it’s a buff - and therefore can be blocked, why can’t it be dispelled?
And again how is it different fron gg?
Its an undispellable buff
Guardian gazelle removes all status effects/ buffs before she applies dancing , odette does not.
“All status effects will be removed” - from her card
Yes, once dancing buff is applied. If the buff can not be applied due to a buff block, then it does nothing.
It does say ‘all’ though and block is a status effect… the card is wrong or the special doesn’t work
GG specifically states that they remove all dispellable and undispellable effects first in their special, Odette’s does not, therefore if a buff blocker is enabled, Odette’s buff will not apply. It’s as simple as that.
The wording on this is quite clear:
The effect cannot be added if it is blocked and all existing status effects only get removed when the effect is added. Working as intended as far as I can see and as far as the card describes.
