Trying to at least narrow it down to these two:
Is Melia useful on defense? I don’t even know. Also toyed w/ Gunnar or Kailani as tank. They’re slow but have worked for me before.
Yeah…next time. Ares first to next ascension…then Bauchan max.
For this week I fear less fire heroes than ice heroes.
Yes she is great. Got many times A defense with her left wing or flank.

Here is what I’m thinking. I have a maxed (no emblem) Gunnar and I’m trying to cap Muggy today. Only healer I have is Hawkmoon, but unless Muggy can replace Mn, then I think this is what I’ll roll with.
Don’t put your Gato on the wing, though — he buffs himself + 2 nearby
I would love to move him, but Bane’s extra health and synergy being behind Gil versus the 1 extra buff is maybe not as good IMO.
But who knows

First one, of course. Besides the purple is slow. And more than this, I wouldn’t invite the opponent to bring Melia. 2* troops don’t have crit and only Melia can provide that for double damage regardless the colour.
Another good thing for a red tank to be flanked with blues, not greens (as I did) → Many players attack 3-2. Such a player will likely bring 3 blues for your tank and 2 greens for your flanks. The player relies ONLY on good tile damage vs tank from 3 heroes, since the greens do only half. If the player doesn’t have enough blue tiles and let’s say, has more of second colour, green, is screwed against Bauchan. In my case, the player will bring 3 blues and 2 reds. And red does normal damage to my tank. So, for a better protection of the flanks, is red flanked by greens. For a better protection of the tank, is red flanked by blues. Both of them are good strategies and in the end, depends of the opponent’s luck (and skills).

I would set Melia, Belith, Bauchan, Brienne and Tyrum.
