Figured I’d reply over here so we didn’t go further off topic in the Finley thread.
For Rare, I’m using this team now:
Initially I tried Jahangir in place of the second Namahage, but this seems to be working as well or better.
My initial run through for completion was with a mono yellow team, but I think the mono red team is more effective. I had the mono yellow team set from last month, so I just ran with it to start.
For Epic. I’m using this team:
This was a more straightforward choice for me, as it’s typically my default Challenge Event team except for Fables of Grimforest, where red is reflected.
I’m kind of lazy about switching teams around for Challenge Events, because I find it annoying to keep setting the heroes and troops, since you can’t just use your saved teams. So I haven’t been bothering to switch at all, even on the stages where red isn’t necessarily the best choice.
I’m sure if I were trying to be more competitive that it would help to be more strategic, but my somewhat haphazard approach seems sufficient to get where I want to be.
As usual, my spots have slipped a little bit as other people have increased scores, so I’m currently at 331st in Rare, and 240th in Epic. That may already be high enough not to need any replays to get Top 1000 and Top 500, but I still have a few Stages in each with relatively low scores, so I’ll replay those to bump up my scores a bit.
I’m still not planning to use any Flasks or flee at all. I like to just treat it as farming.
UPDATE: after a few more reruns I’m now at 122nd in Epic.
SECOND UPDATE: Since Rare and Epic were in good shape, I reran a few Stages in Legendary to bump up to Top 1000. I’m currently at 630th.
