There is currently a mission to complete 420 stages in Mysteries of the Deep for a reward of 20 gems. By my calculations, since there are 6 chapters of 28 stages each with a Normal, Hard and Deadly difficulty one would have to complete every Normal, every Hard and 50% of all the Deadly difficulties to complete this mission, taking probably at least 6 months if the event only occurs 1 per month. It shows my progress as 22/420 but I have only finished 19 of the Normal difficult levels, 0 of the Hard and Deadly is not operational yet. Where do these extra 3 levels come from? Are they the interludes where the story progresses? That is the only explanation I can come up with. If so, how many of these levels are there in addition to the 28 per chapter? And, also, 20 gems for 6 months of effort seems like a paltry reward, in my humble opinion.
one question though, does replaying a finished stage count? (I think it did for S2 to S5 missions). so one would not need to even touch a Deadly stage, if replaying Normal stages for example?
Later there will might be avatar missions.
Until those show up. I will not rush to finish this deep underwater stages challenge.
That 2520 WE - (6 + 10) * 28 WE (for completing the stages for the first time) will go somewhere else

Sad they couldn’t make the avatar mission before release… That just seems totally lazy. How hard could it be to had an avatar mission

I’d like to do the stages on that map, but… without avatar quests, I don’t feel like it.
In Version 60 Staff have added Monster and Mob Avatar missions.
So once it is released and the update is forced I suspect it will be imediatelly enabled.
I can only hope this is a joke…
Missions being introduced when 80% of the levels are done.
I guess I will not go for these avatars unless they can be achieved very easy and not like kill 1.000 of this or that.
There is no fun in playing these levels at all since autoplay is it working because Ai is too stoopid. So it takes to mu h of time anyway.
It’s not a joke, they have been introduced in beta during the v60 beta cycle. But it’s certainly unfortunate nonetheless that they made the missions so late indeed…
I totally agree, it won’t make a difference to me because I decided not to do it if there were no avatar missions. If they weren’t introduced I wouldn’t bother leaving the depths in oblivion.
Terrible decision from SG to release the avatar missions so late.
I finished 3 chapters on normal and hard and did 4 normal missions and 3 hard missions of chapter 4.
Repeating this amount with normal missions would leave me with approx. 2380 troop XP less than with farming 3WE missions. (2380 = [2x28x(6-3) + 2x28x(7-3) + 2x28x(8-3) +7x(9-3)] /3 x10)
completely agree. I’ve already replayed enough stages, that I can finish the gem mission just by completing the rest of the unreleased Normal and Hard stages once. So I have very little incentive to replay just for avatar missions.
I hope someone will correct me when wrong but at first sight I don’t see any level with both . I was hoping for that since we are already at chapter 4.
