Iām so complicated with this SE. The only hero I have is Uthragan and Francine without costume.
I need a red healer, but Cupido sill looks like the best option and very unique.
Anne would be a great attack addition for my yellow team, since the best I have is C2 Leonidas. I donāt really need healers as I have Toon Vivica and Zuri, but Dabria is unique being an average reviver and hard to get.
Bubbles looks like a great hero, but I think Iām in need of a less gimmicky blue (more direct damage, less ailments that could be cleansed).
Narcissa would be a great addition along with Malicna and Uthragan, and I donāt have a hit-all dark.
I think my best options are Cupido, Anne, Dabria and Narcissa. Iād have to decide between those. I have a week to think

I have a question regarding shifting mindless attack. Was going to pick either bubbles or cupido. But someone here actually said SMA has āaged poorlyā in todayās meta due to legendary troops. Wondering if anyone could share their opinions on SMA in todayās raid scene and has it āaged poorlyā

Shifting mindless attack will never age, all you need to do is give them mindless attack and fire tiles at that hero, wonāt hurt your team and let it wonder.
I use Bubbles with two c Kullervo and Carmenta, itās easy to paralyse the whole opposition.
I donāt get how this can ever be aged.
Legendary troops donāt prevent that much, it just makes the battle last a little longer, thatās all.

I think itās the Toons that make them a bit less potent. My Waddles wasnāt as effective in the recent tournament against the Toon Li Xius and Caedmons. Of course, this is also true for all ailments including Anneās

Toons arenāt everywhere in every team.
With toons you just take a different team, heavy hitters for example, itās common sense.

Iād definitely take ekanite over Quintinā¦ though that was 6 months ago.
I donāt understand why they threw in Yang-Meiā¦ Come onā¦
In rest there are some good optionsā¦ I would not change even 5 souls for Yang-Mei this like a very very outdated hero in statsā¦

My Soul Exchange approach is to generally go for the most unique hero, meaning the hero with the rarest and most helpful skill. I also generally think one 20 cost hero is better than two 10 cost heroes. We also have to consider where the game is going. Resist and ailment blocking is becoming more common between Toons and Hathor prevelant.
I see six solid choices here, with a few more that can be specialist.
Letās start with the worst heroes available: Uthragan & Yang Mai.
Heroes that seems good, but donāt do it: C.Dr Moreau and Athos. Dr. is a solid hero, but doesnāt bring enough special. Athos has decent damage and minion destruction at very fast, but not enough
Specialists: C.Odin, C.Snow White, C.Francine, Xiaotu
Odin was always best in defense as variable mana gain on offense is much harder to work with. But I donāt think his damage or stats have kept up as much. I could see some folks taking him for towers.
C.Snow White can do a lot, but probably only helpful in rush today.
C.Francine with cleanse over time is very unique. But she wasnāt never super meta years ago, so I donāt see her value today.
Xiaotu disabling minions and blocking healing could be helpful. In normal times several of these could be solid choices, but not this time around.
Cinnamon. If you need average blue EDD, Frida and King Arthur have been available in FS. Cinnamon is certainly an upgrade, but is this the thing you most want?
My top six: Dabria, Anne, Narcisa, Bubbles, Ekanite, Cupido
Dabria brings average revive which is very nice, but HOT is getting phased out, which limits her value.
Anne is a solid hitter with a decent secondary effect. Iām passing because she doesnāt synergize with legendary troops, which means sheās wasted as my best holy hero.
Narcisa: everyone loves bards. Ailment reset is very nice, but as Iām worried about landing ailments in the first place, Iāll pass on her.
Bubbles: does my ailment worry apply to him? Heās got multiple great effects. A great choice.
Cupido: solid skill, great passive, and can be a valuable family bonus.
Ekanite: My probable pick.
Itās amazing how many solid heroes are here, but this is a great exercise in opportunity cost.

Such a good selection in SE is a double-edged sword. Thereās like 5 of them Iād want 
I wouldnāt say itās aged poorly, but newer heroes/costumes still dish out passives that donāt work in your favour. E.g. Hathor with costume bonus will boost health and increase mana even if hit with SMA, and those Construct heroes will still give a health boost to allies or do core damageā¦
For me and my roster, I am going to put my choice on one of them:
- Cupido (but I have good red heroes like C-GM, R&N, 2xMadhammerā¦)
- Bubbles (I like mindless attack that can be very helpful, I have in blue Magni C1, Alasie, Frida, Miki, Grimsteel)
- Ekanite (I dont have very good Green heroes like Francine, Quongli, Caedmon C2, MN)
I think it will be better to choose Ekanite

My lovely alliance mates have borne the burden of listening to my full analysis, so, iāll leave the tl;dr hereā¦
For me, itās 99% going to be Ekanite (subject to no last minute changes).
The reason for this: I donāt own C. Odin; Dabria; C Francine; Ekanite; Athos; or Yang Mai. Holy and Nature are also my two smallest hero pools.
- C. Odin is just too weak for a tile dependant hero in my view.
- Dabria may be an average reviver, but doesnāt strike me as game breaking when I have better revivers (Lysanor/C Heimdall)
- C Francine has a neat and useful mechaing with EDD too, but I have a bunch of better hit 3
- Athos is a neat VF sniper, but, I have Galapago for nature minion counter, and Ogima in holy.
- Yang Mai is just a very old HotM and I donāt know what else she brings really
- Ekanite hits all on every charge (even 200% to all at VF is strong) and the counterattack meat shields are useful.
Ekanite may need to wait in line, since I do have more interesting heroes in my nature backlog compared to holy but when comparing the two elements here in SE, there isnāt really a competition.
