F.W.I.W I don’t think he’ll be earning a spot on any of my raid teams

Personally:
If I get him, I get him. If I don’t then I don’t
I’m not going to make a special effort to summon him personally.

Rational:
I see his main function as being there for the Buff Neutralising. The sniping damage he does is so small I don’t really consider him as a sniper…

Because I don’t view him as a damage dealer but primarily as a utility support hero I just feel that he’s a little Lacking… He’s useful (don’t get me wrong) but my main issue is that he’s single target only.
I personally would have preferred him to be FAST mana speed and Affect 3.

If I did get him I would proably spend darts on him (cause I have soooo many darts…) but he is unliekly to be working his way into my primary raiding teams nor into my titan team… I might specialty modify a raid team but not regularly…

Wars he’ll get a use in an off-colour stack to assist in bringing a tank down but… Tile damage will do it better & quicker really…

Overall, yes hes useful but not as useful as he could have been…

I personally don’t think that Malosi changes anything much in terms of the tank role…

The Tank

The tank is the position that is most prone to tile damage with 3 of the 7 lanes hitting it. Tanks g one of two ways. Either they survive a long time or they charge really quickly and do max damage before dying.
Some examples of the “soaking” type of tank include Aegir, Kunchen, Guinevere.
Some examples of the “fast damage” type of tank is Gravemaker. Not many others fit this role.

The best tanks are the ones people fear to face. Ones which can last forever and affect/ damage the enemy teams performance. Someone like Guinevere will heal, provide a purple buff AND cut mana. Yunan will soak up tiles, do both DoA and DoT AND give a healing inhibition. Kunchen will soak tiles, heal his team and lower enemy defence for the snipers.

So I don’t think that Malosi will affect any of that statement I made months ago now…

If you’re referring to the “very fast” aspect being what will neutralise everything not the Buff Silencing, it still relies on you getting the tiles you need & be able to match them together (rather than being randomly distributed everywhere).

In terms of him killing tanks cause he’s very fast, his sniping damage is actually quite tiny… comparatively:

So in summary

• Tanks will still be tanks.
• Malosi damage is tiny so not effective at killing off tanks
• Silence only affects Status Effects (debuffs & buffs), doesn’t diminish damage dealt etc…
• All still relies on you:
  • getting Malosi
  • levelling Malosi
  • getting the tiles you need ON the board
  • being able to match the tiles

With all that in mind, I wouldn’t say that Malosi is game-changing or will change the Tank role at all… He’s a different hero yes. A useful one yes. But not a game altering & paradigm shattering one…
