Hi @ all first of all I must say thank you for this Forum. I learned so much and whenever I need something I read and had good advices on Heroes which to keep and which to feed. Now to my question. My Fortress is Level 12 and I would like to level up to 13 but it costs over 600k Iron. How? How can I get that amount? My buildings for iron storage are lvl 10 and 9 so do I have to level them up first to 12?

Yeah, you have to level up your storages so you can accumulate more iron for those upgrades.
Maybe you can also build more storages, not sure how many you can have at lvl 12…

As you need more and more iron, you’re going to need more and bigger iron storages. At least get the second one up to 10 – can you already build a third iron storage at that stronghold level, or does that come later?

There are some threats where ppl wrote which lvl ur buildings must have at least to upgrade the stronghold … I thibk someone will put a link in here.
But as mentioned before… yes u need to upgrade ur iron storages

And make sure you do not convert them as they will no longer be used as storage if you do that.

2 Storages are lvl 10 one 8 and one 9 so I have to bring all 4 iron storages to 12 right?
No I don’t I only convert the mines if I need to level up troops and convert right back.

Storages:
2 at 10: 2x 162 k
1 at 9: 138 k
1 at 8: 115 k
= 577 k
42 k needed…so, the 8 => 9 and the 9 => 10 should be sufficient (+47 k)…or both 10 to 11. Or a mix

Thank you I work in a hotel and we are full and it’s a pain in the butt atm because many are sick… But in December I’m off! That’s Luxury not working Christmas and new years eve hahaha. Going to Croatia to see my family. And thanks again for the input.

The longterm goal of upgrading your castle is to get to level 20, where you can start Legendary training in your camps (at level 20).
A good goal to aim for is to get all your iron storages at level 18. Once that happens, focus on all your food storages (as you’ll need lots of food) and then getting your recruits capacity to at least 100 (the more the better).

Yeah that’s what I ended up doing most of my buildings was quite high anyways! Then hotshot my iron to 18 and SH to 20 4 days till research finished! Upgraded barracks to 5 give me time too level 4* troops to 9 now just working on the 3 other buildings I got from sh20

@Ljiljana Here is a tip for when you are at Stronghold 19 and want to get to 20, if you have all 5 Iron Storages at 18, just hit your maximum and BAM! You will have enough iron for SH 20.

What do you mean by maximum?
@Ljiljana The amount of iron you can have in your inventory. That is what the storages increase.

@Ljiljana If you want to see what your current max is, just click on your iron amount that is right next to your food.
