The Knight used to be my absolute favourite. He used to be my tank.
But (as a long time user) I donāt know why he gets such high marks in defense. Heās not that hard to beat. I do it all the time. Mine has moved to flank position but I would like to take him out of defense eventually. Heās not aggressive enough for me.
I still love him. Offensively he really shines! He sucks up all the badness thrown at your team, allowing your guys to do their jobs with boost. Itās like creating an attack window.
I think heās definitely better with timing control.
Yes, when BK special goes off it gives him taunt for 3 turns that wonāt allow enemy specials to affect his teammates. However, BK himself can get affected, but he still has a 50% chance to drop any damage to 1 while the taunt is active.
So if his taunt is active you can either hold off on the special until the 3 turns is up or you can throw it at him anyway knowing that there is a 50% chance that it does nothing.
Sonya is his baneā¦ With costume bonus, her stats hold up well enough to 5* fights.
I donāt struggle facing himā¦ Though AoE heroās taking advantage of his beserk will destroy you on a bad board.
.
On attackā¦ Put him together with Wilbur.
Using spirit link ratchets that beserk up to 145% more often than not (especially in Telluria meta - minions really help this tactic!).
I have always run this with Guardian Kong - especially now with cleanse, this is a really powerful combo (actually, I have two of him - run both and youāre Vela-proof whether BK fires before her or not, fire one for cleanse if you need it and save the other to smash their teeth out).
With any of this, AoE takes most advantage of the attack boost.
Snipers overkill, AoE heroes can wipe the screen clear. Quite literally.
Also if you want to beat him in a tank position you can just dump your tiles into him. Heāll eventually go down. The flesh wound is rare (too rare ) and in taunt mode heās attackable.
If you can get him fired early in offense though with some good synergyā¦ Wow.
I actually like using him with snipers against some teams. One of my gotos is Tyr, seshat, BK, Grazul, Kage. Wilbur and Kong typically get paired with my Khiona for the same idea however.
Khiona+Wilbur also does great - you canāt provoke most attacking defenders as risk-free as you can with BK.
Heās okay with fast/vfast attackers but you need extra healing in there to back up the beefā¦
Back when I was pushing hard, that BK+Wilbur with 2 AoE and a healer (I used Kong, Isarnia, Mok, sometimes with White Rabbit) was a team setup that could win even against the nastiest defences with a very good win%.
This took me way up into global top ten on numerous occasions.
Itās always bothered me how red has best tank stats.
Andā¦
Blue has such high attack stats. Even the healers!
I think we donāt see red tank success because this.
One-on-One: red looks hot. That 20 blem BK
Wooooo, Smoking!
But itās never a fair fight. Who brings one blue to a red tank line-up?
You donāt need full mono blue to rip-up a red tank. This issue could also be playing into green success. Red snipers with high health and armorā¦
I suppose itās surprising that a green meta took this long to saddle-up.
So I feel like the flank is a better spot for BK to drive up a more successful defensive win ratio.
I just like my flanks and wings to deliver damage tho
One of these days, I would like to dive head first into the fire tank pool. Just not 100% about the reward.
Seems like historically we keep finding the ratio gets smeared.
When Ares came there was a spike that dwindled. When BK came there was a spike that dwindled.
I have not that luck, but if today I had GM, Iād never remove BK emblems.
Iām not impressed by GM. And I donāt know he is so incredible on attack.
But IMO this is a matter of taste.
One word: speed. Ghosting 1 match to do as much damage as he does is incredible. I have him with BK too, but BK is tough enough to excel on offense without emblems. Boosting GMās damage, however, is downright deadly.
