Yep. This comports with my experience. I was five months in as FTP when I lucked into Onatel when she was HotM. She was my first five-star ever. I was getting to the point where I was starting to struggle with PvE content, but then I got Onatel into fighting shape, and it was like finding an “easy button”. Keeping enemy specials from firing is mega-critical. Only recently, when they put in enemies that resist ailments like mana steal, did PvE content become challenging again.
That does not work, to give you the right advices, what id your player level and coug Stronghold.
Please show your roster, best way to do it is via heroplan.io .
Create an account there, enter your heroes and troops, create a link to your profile and post it here.
Happy gaming
I am relatively new to the game. I have 3 -5 stars 7 -4 stars and many 3 stars. If I train with the copies of my 3 stars will I end up regretting it for some reason ion the future. Or if I train with 3 stars I don’t think I will end up leveling up and using anytime soon? I have not trained with them because I have a feeling once I progress I will have wished I saved them. Also I have just unlocked costumes the Hero I have that has a costume option is Mok-Arr @ lvl-45 I planned to keep working with him now I am unsure if I should upgrade his costumed version first.
Thanks
hi there @FreeQuincyWAves , welcome to the game and to the forum!
I think it’s good to be cautious with your heroes, save one copy of each. You never know when you will get them again. (except for the 3* and 4* that come from training camp, they come fairly often… but even then it takes time, it took me 14 months of playing to get my first Rigard for example).
but indeed, the experience boost you get from feeding a 3* is not so big, and it may be more valuable to keep them. depending on how new you are, 3* will be a key part of your hero roster for a while
for Mok-Arrr, what ascension level is he? some notes, the costume cannot be higher ascension than the hero (if the hero is ascension 2 level 45, denoted by 2/45, the costume cannot be ascended to 3rd ascension). the costume can be higher level than the hero for same ascension, so you could save time there (e.g., if Mok-Arr is 4/1, you can keep him there and bring costume to 4/80). you will get some annoying notifications while levelling the costume up though
if you like, you can put your roster here or in the FTP rebellion thread for individual advice on who to level and who to keep
for costumes, here is the FAQ, and I quote the relevant part below
@sleepyhead
Thank you for the insight. Just to make sure I get it… If Mok-Arr is Ascended to 3 lvl 21 Mok all dressed up cannot go higher than that. If Mok is at |x| then w/ costume e can go to |x| as well?
Just curious When I reached lvl 15 I was given more land to build but not allowed to build IronMines so I saved two spots for when I can… How many farms and mines can I build?
Assuming these images show these are my heroes. I am working on the 5* but also I Melendor,Grimm,Jarif,Bane,Morris,Garnet and Wu Kong are the Heros I am focusing on lvling up. Are they worth it ? Any in that list I shouldnt?
You can work on the costume to whatever the ascension tier is for the base hero. For example if Mok Arr is 1/20 you can level your costume to 1/50. To get your costume to 2/1 you need to ascend Mok-Arr to 2/1.
I often level my costume to 4/80 (or 4/70 for 4*s) with the base hero at 4/1 if I don’t intend to use the base version. It is much quicker and cheaper to do so.
However until you level your main to 4/80 or 4/70 you won’t be able to emblem or LB the costume so that will be al imitation.
@Homaclese has helpfully answered the costume question (thanks!), so I’ll try to answer the rest
Melendor and Garnet are the ones with the most longevity here. that is, their skills are extremely useful
Jarif is pretty good, but I would also take a look at Planchet.
Bane is good, and you should continue on him as you have almost maxed him too. focus on one hero per color at a time, is my advice.
Wu Kong is a “Titan specialist”, boosts your normal attack (tile) damage. he is good for challenge events too. but many players will stop using him when they get a better “Titan specialist”, because of Wu Kong’s miss rate. examples of “better” Titan specialists are Miki, Tarlak, Sergei…
Grimm is worth levelling for now. Isarnia often replaces him due to her better defense down, but Grimm is faster and can be used in Epic/4* tier events.
Morris… is not the best. I would not prioritize him. Tyrum and Chochin are much more versatile heroes
this is controlled by the game, everyone has the same max farms and mines. from here:
In addition, you can unlock new building slots with stronghold levels 3, 5, 8, 11, 15, and 20 (max). If, initially, you can only build 2 farms, 1 mine, 1 iron storage, and 1 food storage, the following constructions are added with higher stronghold levels:
