First 5* ascending help

Hello everyone!

Im a fairly new player.
Ive got a few 5 stars that im not sure about who to max first. I play in every aspect of the game.

My current rooster

4* - Grimm 4/70, Gormek 4/70, Wilbur 4/70, Mist 4/70, Jott 3/60, cTiburtus 3/20, Boldtusk 3/60, Hu Tao 3/60, Cyprian 3/60, D‘Andre 3/1, Kashrrek 3/60, Gullinbursti 1/1, Marcel 1/1, Eichelborg 1/1, Karil 1/1, Melendor 1/1, Wu Kong 1/1, Colen 1/1, cSabina 1/1

5*
Blue - Frosth 1/1, Theobald 1/1, Bobo 1/1

Purple - Ursena 3/70, Dr. Moreau 1/1, Freya 1/1, cQuintus 1/1

Green - Eiora 1/1, Elradir 1/1

Red - Azlar 1/1

My Defense team

Grimm+18 Grevle+20 Wilbur+10 Ursena Mist+12

What would you guys suggest as my defense team? Taking in consideration that those heroes will be also used in all other aspects of the game. I wont be spending that much money anymore.

Ive got the mats for Eiora, soon ill have mats for one blue and one Purple 5*.

Frosth or Bobo? Freya, Ursena or Moreau? Eiora or Marcel 1st?

You already have Ursena @3-70, she’s a fine 5 to start with. Eiora will be great, I’d wait for Frosth until you have Freya max.

Another vote for Ursena. She will stay useable, including as your def tank while you work on your base of 4s and 3s.

Bobo is great for Titan and VF rule, but he is sturdy at 3.70, so he can wait.

Ursena is fun to play againts holy hitter on offense, and she is also great on defense. Dr Moreu is also great like Drake Fong, Freya is also great. All those 3 heroes are great.

Marcel 1st, he can make blue titan team better. Eiora can wait.

Notes: I would 1st focus on leveling healer for War like Boldtusk, cSabina (and or waiting Rigard), Melendor, Gullinbursti and D’Andre.

Ursena it is. I guess for the blues go for Bobo then since Freya is in the queue to pair up with Frosth. Or no?

I think you are way too hasty with ascending 5*. You should focus on some key 4* first. Ascending a 5* takes 2.5 more time and feeders compared to a 4* and maxing a 4* with emblems is also way faster and requires 2.5 times less emblems. Heroes like Boldtusk, Wu Kong and Melendor are key, and you will be using them even when you have a full 5* roster in the future, so you might as well focus on them. IMO you need to have at least 10 ascended 4* before you should focus on an 5*.

I would strongly advise against ascending a 5* at this stage in the game. Your 4* roster is still relatively limited, and I’d finish Tiburtus, Boldtusk, then work on Marcel, Melendor, and cSabina before even touching another 5*.

Ursena is fine but on her own she’s not going to have a significant impact nor improve your gameplay in any meaningful way at this stage.

As @jinbatsu mentioned, focus on maxing out all your healers first so you can field at least one healer for each war team, then build up some more 4* rainbow teams before working on a 5*.

I just want to say congratulations on the circus heroes. Those are decent to good heroes to have.
As you just started, I would say go for bobo first. He can help tremendously for titans. And can even assist you in normal raids, hits harder than killhare with no drawbacks, just slow. Then next will be Theobald, not just for the green shield but the attack up.
Yes, Eiora will be your minion team counter. Very devastating when she fires
I will also go for ursena for the yellow shield.

Solid points taken into consideration. I have problem with gloves atm. 5 compass 1 glove. By the time i get some more gloves it feels like it doesnt matter if its a 5* or 4*. Ive got 6 tonics, 5 darts, 4 scopes, 3 tabards, 2 damascus, 2 tomes. Those come more easy to me than gloves lol.
Doesnt matter, ill lvl those healers to 3/60 atleast then.

Really nice roster, especially the Circus heroes! I am a player for half a year and I went against the general advice of have a complete team of 4* before ascending your first 5* and I would say it paid off.

It all depends how powerful the special of the 5* it is, since often the 5^ are close in stats at 3.70 to some maxed 4*. I think that working on a 5* tank is worth it. If I were you, I’d first do Ursena and then Eiora. You need a strong green plus she is great against minion heroes who are everywhere now.

You have a very nice team. Sounds promising for a future. It is good to see Wilbur here. In my opinion I would replace Grevle with Gullinbursti. For me he is a game changer at this stage. And also wu kong for titans. Also build 2x 3* (red and blue) mono teams to finish monthy quests. To level heros you need mats. To get mats, you need to finish quests. And one more thing. If you have not done it yet, unlock Atlantis. And farm during AR for backpacks.

My suggestion is that you focus on 3* and 4s. At least 3 rainbow teams of each rarity before you work on your 5. Even if you don’t have the mats to fully ascend your 4s*, you can bring them to 3.60. The backbone of your army for a long time (for all aspects of the game) will be the 4s*. In fact some of them (c-rigard, sabina, kiril, Boldtusk) will be used even when you’ll have 20+ maxed 5s*

I absolutely support the “four stars first” approach but Frosth and Freya (especially if in the same team) makes most of the pve aspect of the game a walk in the park. They do just fine at 3/70 though… At 3/70 these two are essentially attacker-healers becouse of the damage the minions provide plus the additional buffer health…

Add in a s1 four star healer, a mana controller and a hitter and you are set for the maps, rare quests, costume chamber, etc…
