Crystals are considered to be minions, so yes. That is why players who have already completed this stage say itâs nearly impossible to finish it without such a hero.
Chance of getting a specific hero from HA 8 is approximately 3%, which isnât that bad. With multiple attempts you are guaranteed to get one. Itâs far more reliable than getting anything out of HA 10, thatâs for sure.

HA1O runs until Monday night for me, so Iâll switch over to HA8 then. Youâre right, 3% isnât too bad, and I donât think HA8 takes a whole week. Iâll get a few pulls a week.
One Captain hit can do 21000 damage!
In comment #2 I list out the heroes who are going to be big helps against the crystalline shields 
Ultra boring. Story and repetitive biome effects. Not worse than those stones that prevent board moves from S3, but far away from entertaining.
Designs were beautiful, though. Boss fight was hard, used C. Frank for minion destruction. The best part of the season, probably, was the final boss.

Iâd love to get any that you name, but Iâm full F2P now, so aside from the Captain strategy, my best hope is costume gormek, which I can try for 3-4 times per month.
Yeah I canât think of any others beyond that list offhand, it is what I mention to people complaining in Line about it being hard. I have both grimble and diamonds so normal wasnât hard at all, not to end of hard mode yet.
You still have to wait one month if you want Kravekrush.
I actually have C Frank and tried him, but he didnât seem to do anything useful in the final fightâŠ
C-Frank and Skadi, I think their use is diminished because they cast a stack for each minion killed⊠but their special does not guarantee they kill the minion in the first place 
those crystal minions have high health tooâŠ
hoping you get Captain of Diamonds. HA8 training time is 2.5 days, so you get almost 3 chances per week at least
And one more season without any 5* hero, in fact this was my worst season til today, i was very unlucky trying to summon, my huge list of S4 heroes, Tetukk (5), Griffin (2), Poppy (2), Helo (1), Vollemork (1), and âŠand⊠thatâs it, nothing more, no Zila, no Grumps⊠thanks SG for this heroes
It is with horror, amazement, disappointment that I have just discovered the last stage of the iV season.
impossible to eliminate the last enemy. After having spent more than 7 times gems, it was impossible to pass the barrier that holds back the attacks. Even worse, the life points of the last enemy not decreasing I had to give up after spending more than 1000 gems !!! I find this way of making dishonest because even by paying I do not see how to pass this stage.
I already thought that for a while the game had become more âpay to winâ. I think the limit has been exceeded. React because you will lose even more paying players with this kind of unpleasant attitude.

Youâre right. Itâs really hard. Unless you have the right team, those crystals never go away.
If you look up the thread, however, there is a strategy for winning. You need to get one of the heroes that eliminate minions. Most are difficult to get, but there is one - Captain of Diamonds - available in HA8. Thatâs your objective, if you want to beat Season 4: build and research HA8, and keep doing pulls until you get him, You might get him right away; it might take weeks or even months.
However, if the odds of getting any given 4* hero from HA8 are truly 3%, and you get 2.5 tries per week, the expected time isnât too bad.

And here normal done with mostly S1 (partly costumed) 4* heroes (only wilbur S2).
But I would say with those heroes, a minion destroyer is definitely needed.
And there are better 4* out there, gulli would have made the whole thing far easier for example but I wanted to make the team as easily accessible as possible.
Battle items used were small and medium mana potion and small and medium health potion.
unfortunately Gobbler isnât yet available in HA8 the only non-vanillas currently available in HA8 are the older Challenge Event 4* like Captain of Diamonds.

And yes, gormek c is crucial for that. I probably wonât try it with S1 heroes without something that kills those minions.
With better 4* heroes itâs maybe possible, especially with overheal there is maybe a chance, but than those better heroes are as hard or even harder to get than a minion destroyer of some kind.
For hard mode he probably wonât make it but mine is limit broken and has emblems for attack path and he did just ok. I had to use brain and fire him when minions were already a bit damaged, but Penguin and Ariel made the hard job. Not mentioning Devanaâs kitties who removed them pretty quickly too. C-Frank didnât made the biggest job but heâs fun to use.

I4ve just made a try with Noor, Gormek, Gobbler, Grimble and Alexandrine but the team was too week. Will try with HA8.
