Feel like Halloween is the only one lacking someone to summon for. This changes everything. Going to try for vanda with some of the saved Christmas tokens
š§Ŗ Early Information on New Morlovia Heroes (Halloween) & Family Bonus [Part of The Beta Beat V32]
Seems to be OPā¦
You can also use undispellable ailments (say, cAzlar and Natalya) and she wonāt cleanse those either.
I see Francine as a less-good version of Grazul / Vanda personally, difference being though that she can fire after ailments are applied too which is an upside.
Thereās a typo in ādealsā.
Honestly, this is a bit too strong for a 3* as well. 270% + 570 (I presume unmitigateable) damage on a fast timer is nothing like what any existing 3* offers. Sure, itās staggered, but thatās like 550-600% total damage when converted.
Either the first number or the second one should be toned down a bit.
The skill seems to be on Isarniaās levelā¦ and this hero is just 4*. Is Jott a joke?
Yes ā the pumpkin bomb is basically like a delayed DoT, nothing happens until the 3rd turn when it all comes at once. Or if the target is killed by an ally that same turn, then the nearby āDoTā activates.
He is kind of like an even more extreme version of Lady Locke in 3* rarity ā keeping in mind that 3*s donāt have much HP, that bomb is strong!
It is worth noting though that you can cleanse the bomb before it goes off too, which is easy to do if you have cTyrum available in your 3* bench. Defensively I donāt think Jack is going to be that great, offensively however heās a pretty strong 3*.
There are already cases where a 4* is functionally a better 5*. See Merlin ā Zocc.
That said, I believe this dude being slow makes him less than overbearing.
Also, leave poor Jott alone. He has his niche for titans - the tile buff stacks multiplicatively with any other buffs you might have.
My initial thoughts:
Francine: B+. Fast damage to 3 with extra to ice is solid, but nothing spectacular. I would use her against Blue tanks for sure, but there are better heroes out there. The dispel is her best and most unique feature. I may still be affected for one turn, but status effects will stop there. This removes some of the strategic timing of cleanse.
Vanda: A- (maybe B++). Very fast will always get my attention. The 3 turns of preventing status ailments is her best feature. Combined with stealing 100% of health, I see her being used against Healer Tanks (namely Telly). I really only want her to bust the tank. Sheās less helpful later in the game as there are less enemies to cast status effects).
Frank: B+. At first he looks like a 4 star Isarnia with slow mana and -44% defense. I have Grimm and Isarnia so another blue defense down hero is not high on my wish list, especially because I want the defense down to apply as quickly as possible (slow mana doesnāt help that). The extra damage per dead enemy is a nice feature so his damage all isnāt wasted as much. I assume on map stages this counts every enemy on every wave?
Jack: B. With Tyrum and Balthazar I already have 3 star Fast Purple Snipers covered. Iād rather just take the extra damage up front rather than the pumpkin bomb (especially when you add in costume bonuses and the relative ease of obtaining 3 star costumes). Best case you use Jack to take out an enemy and the pumpkin bomb deals an extra 142 damage to nearby targets. Iād rather ensure I do the damage in the first place (with Balth)
Overall, these heroes fit the theme of Morlovia.
3 stars are generally useless.
4 and 5 stars have interesting builds that can be helpful, but none are A+ by themselves.
I donāt find the family bonus to be super helpful. I donāt know how often Iāll be using 2 heroes at the same time (I currently own 0 Morlovia heroes). For the very fast heroes, a mana troop is already easy enough to get down to 6 tiles that an extra 5% doesnāt help. Maybe it tips the scale for fast heroes for those without fully leveled mana troops.
I have 29 EHT saved and will use them all come Halloween (I got lucky last Christmas with both Mother North and Santa so I wonāt be saving this year).
Edit: of those 29 EHT, Iāll use a few in October in case I get Zulag, but Iād rather have Glenda. Neither is that exciting to me with Zulag being less exciting. Iāll take him if I get him, but Iāll just stick to Costume Rigard.
I fail to see where Merlin is better than Zocc but I will trade my Thoth-Amun for a Wilbur.
All interesting heroes, and pleasantly different from the current batch of available heroes. I like this trend to bring fresh new experiences to the game.
That said, theyāre all underwhelming to me, considering most of their skills are dispellable. Jack for example is a variant on direct hit + DoT. Itās visually different but still the same concept. It would be great if the pumpkin was non-dispellable but as is, your opponent has 3 turns to get rid of it without any damage at all.
The legendaries look fine but again, I dread that dispellable part of their skill. Some people are calling Vanda OP but I donāt see it. She is a support hero and Iām not sure how a support hero can qualify for OP status. I like Francine better between the two but again, I wish both their skills were not dispellable.
Still, pretty good heroes in my book and Iām glad I didnāt use any of my EHTs in the Summer event. November HOTM looks good and itāll be a good time to spend them.
BK flanked by Zeline and Francineā¦
Merlin is a faster Zocc without a chance to screw you over vs monks, clerics and debuff-immune heroes.
But I digress. My point is that Frank is strong, but overall fine. Isarnia on the other hand could use some love.
Isnāt both average speed?
In your opinion, which is better between Frank and Jott as both are ice barbarian?
Francine has a Bride of Frankenstein feel. Frank, a Frankenstein feel. Jack is like Jack Skellington from the Nightmare before Christmas. Vanda is a vampire.
Vanda will render quiet a few tanks useless. Knowing you only have to make 2 matches to fire.
Kunchen
Telluria
Anyone that heals and cast debuff to opponents
Ursena and possible Guin welcome back?
Jott for titans. Like Miki, heās a specialist thatās only good for one thing.
Frank otherwise.
Wow Vanda, seems rly bit OP to me.
Glad to see some upgrade for the whole event tho!
How meaningful are these bonuses for the 5*, all of which are already Fast or Very Fast?
Ouchā¦ My costume Caedmon hate thisā¦ After being the first Fast Green Cleanser.
Very meaningful, now lv 17 mana troop is enough to decrease 1 tile. If you have Ariel, you can turn fast into very fast with lv 1 mana troop and 5% from family bonus.
