Is it possible to take single 5* hero and re roll it endlessly until one gets a specific past HOTM?
This is quite a game changer!

Yes, Level 10 retrains an existing Legendary Hero into another Legendary Hero.
It only produces Legendary Heroes.
So thereās no reason to ever hold more than 1 useless 5 star dupe, cuz you can just reuse it continuously. Slightly disappointing mechanic there.
But, wasnāt really expecting anything better than this. Would be nice if beta testers can test out approx % for hotm appearance. Iām guessing 5%?
I donāt know for certain, but how Alchemy Lab works and how the in-game text is phrased makes it sound like itās not possible to get the same Hero.
Iāll ask.
Can i build multiple hero academy
No, only one copy of Hero Academy can be converted. Iāll add that to the top post.
What I appreciate most about this is:
guaranteed 5 star heroes - you could theoretically keep retraining the āsameā hero until you got one you liked, so you no fear of āwastingā a 5-star or having it turn into a 4-star. And HOTMs in the mix!
no gem costs. Iād rather pay in time/food/iron, which is more f2p/c2p friendly.
training trainer heroes. not sure how efficient this will be but could be really nice for power leveling if you have time to stock them up.
Some of the levels arenāt super interesting but if itās released like this Iāll be excited to use it!
Edit: So the odds of getting a HOTM sound pretty disappointing But I guess theyāll point to Tavern for that.
The amount of time and resources required for this seems ridiculous. Look at the iron requirements, meaning iron storages are going to all going to have to maxed out in addition to all the work specifically for this new building.

Well, until you get one you want. Then you start training the next dupe. The long game.
LOL, troop training is insanely expansive. That was really the one area I was excited for.
So can we safely dump all of our 3* & 4* dupes that weāve all been hording for the last year???
Well, a gem free chance to get an old HoTM every 7 days? As a c2p I gladly take it.
Okay, so I just did the math about building time and research. So, if Iām correct, it would take about 82 DAYS from the moment you start the upgrade of SH25 to the moment you can start your first HA10 training!!! (thatās without researching any of the other levels).
Thatās way too crazy. I think we waited long enough for this feature to spend almost three months on building it.
Donāt get me wrong, Iām happy about the fact that weāll finally be able to convert 5* heroes to other 5* heroes and that there is no gem cost. Iām also perfectly okay with the training taking 7 days.
But 82 days just for building is waaaayyy too much.
Edit: As @math4lyfe pointed out, itās actually longer than 82 days because we also need to level up food and iron storagesā¦ That makes it even worseā¦
@zephyr1 do you know if beta testers are taking statistics about the % drop of HOTM in hero academy?
In case they are not, could you ask them to do it?
That is the most important question as of now because of the high investment needed in ham to run lvl 10
Iād recommend not making decisions like that based on the first iteration of Beta.
While there may not end up being a use for extra 3* and 4* Heroes, we can all but guarantee something about the first version will change in subsequent rounds of testing and final release.
People are discussing it a bit already.
Whether there will be a rigorous data collection is up to testers.
I will say, because of the UI and costs, itās not inconsequentially tedious to test a large number of retrainings.
Thank you for the quick answer! I mean if it is 5% it may be too low of a number as the expected cost to get a HOTM would be higher than 40 million ham plus 20 weeks worth of wait!!
Hopefully they will feature a higher % chance as anyway just a few people will benefit (guys playing like 2 years to build everything) or smaller costs.
My guess based on results Iāve seen so far is that itās lower than that.
I donāt think getting hotm has more than %3 chance
I think they should be clear about the odds when they launch It. It would not be fair something like 1.3% and not make It clear on the Game.
