Weāll have to wait for the final version i guessā¦
Its too soon and too messy to build a fundamented opinion for nowā¦ lets just wait
Who else play this game is very familiar with this!
Wait and patience is a virtude!
Itās a very useful tool for preventing overheal when there is another effect that the healer provides which I also wish to use.
Melendor with a HOT is very appealing to me, because I generally run a 3-2 configuration with two healers, and his dispel is very useful all by itself. It lets me fire him when I want the dispel and not fret that I havenāt taken a ton of damage yet.
I can fire that HOT when there is a sniper with a damage buff on them, safe in the knowledge that I cut their damage AND most of the upcoming hit will be healed away shortly.
He doesnāt overwrite himself! The original gives Spirit Link and buffs allies defense, the costumed one gives Spirit Link and debuffs enemies defense.
Basically, itās a 2-man Wilbur.
what I meant was that him using it without a costume, would get his buffs overwritten by an enemy Gunnar wearing the costume
I donāt know what their intention is. Are some costumes supposed to be treasures while others are zonks hiding behind the summon door? Sonya costume is effective. Rigard costume is only good for the stat increase once the player has too many purple feeders and trap tools.
New skins? Fantastic. That brings all new options to the game!
The key to success in this game is to have a broad selection of heroes for wars, tournaments and raids. Considering how long it takes to gather 6 4* mats, it would be almost always a better idea to spend them on two different heroes than to max a costume for one hero.
Costumes for 4* heroes should work fine as at some point you have more unfarmable 3* mats you need.
@zephyr1
I have to say thank you for the great support and getting the beta content also outside of beta in a useful discussion and output.
I canāt wait to read the conclusion thread in a view days, but from the view post I read fast through, its really a similar feedback from what we reflected in beta.
Youāre welcome!
And I agree, thereās a lot of similar feedback both in and out of Beta on Costumes.
Alchemy Lab had a lot of overlap too.
Why would anyone spend double the amount of emblems on the same character for different costumes? With the abysmal drop rate of emblems, that seems like a Monumental waste.
I just want Boldtusk wearing Zelines skirt.
With the way it looks right now that you summon the costume at the SAME costs and level it just the same as a hero, HOW MANY other than whales will realy try for these??
- YES, I would summon for Costumes based on the initial design
- NO, I would not

@Rohn I merged this here for more visibility, and fixed the poll for you.
Once the costume is maxed, druid Melendor will also receive stat boost so it wonāt be as squishy as before too.
The one that will benefit from this is paladin Richard as he will be tankier when the costume version is maxed.
Yes, those costumes could be good for 3* and 4*, but pretty crappy for 5*. Ascension items are so rare right now for those, that why would anyone use 12 items, 2 D-blades and 2 tomes for one hero. And emblems are even more harder, it takes year to even emblem one 5* to max.
I probably wonāt even summon those and if I do, I hope I wonāt get any 5* costume. Since I wouldnāt level it. And it would suck even more to get costume for 5*, which you donāt even have.
And no Iām not f2p player more to p2w and still wouldnāt even consider to make those level ups for costume. I rather level up new hero for wars. This is first new thing, that makes me feel sad about the direction, which this game is going.
Iām sure that this was one of the main issues the beta testers reported to the devs and chances arenāt bad that this could change in future builds.
I agree that 6 scopes/darts/ā¦ + tome + blade os ridiculously expensive. However, I wouldnāt mind if the price were one or two of the colour specific 4* mats in order to avoid that big spenders get a full set of costumed 5* heroes too easily (same with orbs/traps/ā¦ and 4* costumes).
Most F2P/C2P will be quite happy to get even one costume that matches one of their 5* heroes. Therefore, a moderate amount of non farmable mats to be spent actually helps F2P/C2P not to lose too much ground
However, somewhat better appearance rates than 1.5 % for a legendary costume (that maybe canmot be used because the right hero is atill lacking) would be awesome, so that all active players have realistic chances to maybe also get a 5* costume once in a whileā¦
So far only one Iām interested in is vivica
Yellow dispeller and defense debuffer in one shot and i wouldnt have to waste gems chasing the rabbit
Also have extra darts and vivicas layin around. Would i emblem her? Probly not but still nice addition to my titan team
4* AM is not needed to ascend the costumed one to fourth tier, so you only need 6+1+1 4* AM for the uncostumed one.
Iāve seen all the new customsā¦ and I have to sayā¦ that itās kind a joke for some of themā¦ Tiburtus looks like a Kiss band singer. Melendor is the white mage from The Lord of the rings. Boldtusk a cooker or a butcher?!.. I like the new special for Quintusā¦ but the customsā¦mehhhh
