Just upgraded the stronghold to level 4.

This is why large bundles of stone and food (as a minimum) should be given as many of us are being disadvantaged though no fault of our own. And we continue to fall behind every moment that we cannot access this area.

I wouldn’t oppose it. But I also don’t consider it necessary. I’ve played for less than six hours, and less than an hour of that time was actually active. It’s not a large gap that needs to be overcome in any special way.

So it’s meant to be super slow start for the ones that will not pay. Even the feathers needed for trainers are very rare in first province. As for now dragons don’t have important use outside their domain but that might change in future.

I’ve played for less than six hours, and less than an hour of that time was actually active.

But during the time you aren’t active you still have farms and mines (or whatever they’re been reskinned as) which will be producing resources.

Just upgraded the stronghold to level 4. Focusing on quarries for now so I have enough stone to level other buildings.

Competed 1-7 and the first quest stage. 1-4 is possible to auto farm with the default team.

So far I’m enjoying this more than I thought I would.

No daily free summons, only way to use the portal is to pay gems or collect silver coins by beating missions.

Well I am stuck at 1-3 with my 3 star dragon and 4 free trainers so it appears that’s it for me in the mode unless I buy in?

The basic team is good enough to beat the first 8 stages.

Stage 9 is next for me.

Try to make combos around with Tile Booster it will help you to win more easily.

Ps: The Idle chests are also containing Silver coins so by collecting it every day you will get a summon after a while.

My biggest issue is not having a healer in my team.

I was not aware of the idle chests containing silver coins.

Still a tough early pill to swallow considering what you could do before you hit a wall when you first started in the base game.

I think Krio is default to everyone from the free summon at the end of the introduction steps, and that dragon heals.

I think we have to back to the old skool farming method.

Remember playing S1 8-7 over and over and over again.

You are correct, embarrassingly I didn’t have him in my team, I had a red trainer in his place.

I’m so disappointed other players can get started and I can’t.

If you are not willing to spend money, you will be done with the base update in about a day. After the first day, you will either have to spend money or just wait for the resources to pile up.

Yes, I just kept relolling until I have found an opponent with the basic trainer hero team, and Krio at 1/1.

I finally got the update, which I can now go on the other side.
As exciting it is, something new and shiny.
I reflected on the idea of starting all over again, by building a new stronghold, dragons, so forth and so on.
I’m not sure how I feel about that.
Starting from scratch is not appealing to me.
