Do I need TC20?

Hi all,

I started the game some months ago and I’m about to get soon to TC20 (I have stronghold 20 and TC18 is close to finish). I want to reach TC19 to get access to the fast trainers.

The question is if it is then worth to go to TC20? What is the point of TC20 nowadays except getting food for the SE? I’m missing something? 5* S1 heroes without costume are relatively useless.

Thanks in advance for sharing your insight!

You dont need it if u spend some cash. In that case u usually have enough heroes to always level up and multiple tc2/tc11 running are more welcome.

Upgrade to TC20 only when u have noone to level up.

By none you mean no 5*?

Well there are some key words in your post “useless” “SE” which mean you spend to do pulls…so tc20 might not be necessary for you but optional if you really want some feeders

TC20 can be good to store good amount of food. Even if you do not need the feeders.

The day costumes got introduced to S1 heros I stoped my tc20

I turned it into a tc11 and left it alone got lot of feeders there.

Options yeah for Soul Exchange .

Honestly the ham n recruits ain’t worth it.
Guess if you got toon costumes could be worth it
If you get lucky with said hero with costume already.

Yeah tc20 ain’t worth much imo .

If you are not inclined to spend, you can run TC20 to get some feeders for HA10: convert hopefully to S1 with costumes, or event heroes.

Once you have enough spares for HA10, you can discontinue or keep running TC20 to get feeders for SE.

I run a TC20 for a number of reasons. When I don’t, I run out of food. Saving the queue for the “Summon/train 1 Epic Hero” task. Souls for Soul Exchange.

I don’t spend money, so running 3TC20 bring me enough hero for about 2 SE per year…

Soon it will be possible to get costumes for 300 gems. It might Not bé often enough to get all the costume for a S1 hero… But WE don’t know yet how often it will be…

But as everybody said it, if you spend enough to get 20 useless 5* Every 3 month, you don’t really need TC20, if you get less than that, then it could be useful…

A TC20 bring about 1 Legendary hero per month…

Most agree that it’s 5%. 5% with a two day wait is 40 days. You’re not far off, so I’m not really complaining, but you should give accurate numbers to not get people’s hopes/plans up.

With one only TC20, you can collect feeders in one shot from every TC.

Thanks all for the replies. Quite different opinions on the topic. But having the TC20 seems to be good anyway. I will develop it and then see how I will use it.

Regarding the comment from @TohOutar, I am f2p but I play quite a lot so I get 5* from time to time. They take so long to level up that I do not need more so far. And yes S1 5* without costume are quite useless, I cannot really use them.

Well im from a different era lol
I started in 2017
And my tc20s were finished some time in 2018
Im f2p and tc20 were very crucial and important.

I’m also f2p but don’t use TC20 (never have).

As long as I have a bunch of heroes I want to level up I’d always much rather have 4 training camps churning out heroes at tc11 (and run one on tc2 as much as possible) so that I can level those heroes asap rather than slowing that entire process down for an occasional S1 legendary.

In the last 3 months I’ve pulled Queen Anne, Chloris, Lasalle and Mene (as well as Hatter and Lepiota from FS) so I have plenty of better heroes to be levelling. I pulled a dupe Justice in that time too and will throw him into HA10 when I’ve got that levelled up, so that I can hopefully pull someone new.

Ok thanks for the feedback. That was my initial thought. So far I run 2 TC 11 + 1 TC2/1. A third TC 11 might be good. What about TC19? Any use for it?

As mentioned above, tc20 main use for me now (am at level 70): drops every now and then 5* that can be used for Soul Exchange. Got 2 this month (it’s not that frequent usually).

I honestly don’t even know what tc19 does without looking it up.

The most important thing is to decide/work out what suits you play style and personality best. I totally understand the arguments of people who think you should run tc20. Like I said, I’ll probably start using it eventually but only when I feel like I don’t have a constant need for feeders for heroes which will make my roster better. Maybe I’ll never get to that point.

For me, the resources to run tc20 as an f2p player, simply to get heroes to save for Soul Exchange isn’t worth it. The expected legendary rate from tc20 is 5%, so around one every 40 days. That means 13 months to collect 10 legendary heroes to use for the cheapest soul exchange, because as an f2p I don’t know how many other legendaries I’ll pull in that time that I’d want to trade. It just feels like too little reward for the resources put into it, as well as a reduction in regular feeders from the 4th TC. I already find it slow enough when I can’t run a TC2 if I’m out of backpacks and have to run four TC11, I think I’d lose my mind if I could only collect from 3 TCs! But that’s why it’s good to weigh up what suits you and your play style. You can always try TC20 for a while and see if you like it or not

TC19 is great for getting rid of an excess of food. It’s not great for everyday use, or if food is scarce. If you have food crates piling up, you should consider swaping out a TC11 to TC19 for a bit.

As longterm ftp player I have a ton of feeders stacked up in my TC11.
My limiting resource is food.
And I have quite some lines of heros in most colors I would like to level.

 Ah yes…good for you! The last time this happened to me was years ago!

I have around 30 food crates in reserve for the long awaited moment I might draw an OP hero!
