Am I running my best possible raid defense team?

Hi guys! I hope this isn’t too annoying to ask, but I wanted to get some feedback on whether or not I’m running my best possible raid defense team and formation, or whether I might have better options that I’m just not thinking of.

Right now, the defense line left to right is:

Phileas 4/80 +20
Freya 4/80 +20
Sif 4/80 +20
Bera 4/80 +20
Krampus 4/85 +20

It’s running in the Double formation (Freya/Bera out front)

It’s not like I have terrible results with these baes but I feel like it’s not as great as I was hoping, so I was either¨slightly delusional or maybe I have better options elsewhere.

These are the other options on my bench:

Red:

Elizabeth 4/85 +18
Tyr 4/80 +18
Marjana 4/80 +15
Zimkitha 4/80
Grazul 4/80
Jean-Francois 4/80
nonC Elena 4/80

Waiting for ascension are Zenobia, Azlar, Natalya, Asterius, and Elizabeth II.

Blue:

Ariel 4/80 +19
Miki 4/80
Cobalt 4/80 +19
Finley 4/80 +20
Vela 4/80

Waiting are Finley II, Fenrir, CRichard, Thorne, Athena, Alexandrine, Frosth, Skadi and Glenda.

Purple:

Alfrike 4/80 +20
Dr Moreau 4/80 +20
Ursena 4/80
nonC Domitia 4/80

Waiting are Onyx, Grimble, nonC Obakan, Clarissa, Lepiota, Killhare, nonC Sartana, Chakkowhatsit, and nonC Quintus

Yellow:

Uraeus 4/80 +18
nonC Vivica 4/80 +19
Malosi 4/80 +19
Gazelle 4/80 +12
Justice 4/80

Waiting are Inari, nonC Joon, nonC Leonidas, and Uraeus II.

Green:

C-Lianna 4/80 +15
Elradir 4/80
Ratatoskr 4/80
Kingston 4/80
Telluria 4/80
nonC Kadilen 4/80

Waiting are C-Elkanen, C-Lianna II, and Chameleon (lolol)

Does anyone see a better play for defense than the one I’m making? I’m open to any ideas, moving around emblems, strategy for ascent priorities etc etc

Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this much and much appreciated if anyone has any feedback!

Well, there is your issue. That is the formation that is easiest to beat… I run standard reverse and I just can’t lose cups. Well, I do bu then some idiots raid me up again. With zero effort (I haven’t raided in 5 days now), I’m stuck in lower diamond

Current team has got zero bite in terms of offence power apart from Phileas; annoying sure, but not threatening at all. A properly synergy 4* team could beat that using CGormek+debuffer in Sonya/Melandor could easily counter Freya/Krampus/Siff buffs.

Elizabeth, Krampus, Bera/Freya, G Gazelle, Phileas would be much better team comparing to what you setup currently although I need to check whether Krampus/Gazelle would override each other etc. I guess Siff and Gazelle could be interchangeable in this setup.

Elizabeth provides AoE damage + fiend, Phileas as usual reliable sniper, Krampus taunt, Bera/Freya awesome minions, Gazelle super buffs.

Just my 2 cents.

If you’re looking to stick to current lineup, suggest go for Reverse formation in this order;

Krampus - Freya/Bera - Siff - Phileas - Freya/Bera.

Your current Double formation is just annoying, never threatening. I will adopt the strategy of how I counter Aegir; just throw my tiles to Freya and Bera avoiding Siff until all my heroes are charge and ready to take out your heroes one by one leaving Freya and Bera the last. With that lineup, I can even counter using rainbow team to even play.

Simply change to Reverse I believe could yield instant improvement.

Omg thanks guys, first few replies and you’ve answered the question I didn’t ask, but I totally did wonder if the double formation was what wasn’t working well. Thanks so much for the quick feedback, yous are both lovely

I’m gonna take your advice switch to reverse with Liz - Krampus - Sif - Freya - Phileas and see how it goes. I don’t feel great about using Gazelle instead of Sif on defense, because I find that it’s really easy to use her special against her team (sniping her while everyone’s dancing means everyone loses mana etc).

Obvi anyone else feel free to pipe in if theres anything to add!

Elizabeth - Krampus - Sif - Alfrike - Phileas on a W formation is what I would play

otherwise Phileas - Krampus - Bera - Elizabeth - Cobalt in a V formation

Dont put two of the same color in front, its too easy to stack against.
Use Front row bera and krampus, second row Fogg, Sif, Elizabeth.

Or try an reverse V with
Fogg, bera,elizabeth, krampus, uraeus.

Good luck

Yeap, hence the comment on Sif and Gazelle can be interchangeable.

That’s a good defense but I have a lot more trouble when Krampus is out front. Hiding him in a corner and behind two tanks is wasting a lot of the abilities. Krampus’ taunt is most valuable when all 5 heros are alive.

Cheers!
