Awesome!

7% Slow
8% Average
10% Fast
12% Very Fast

Using the 0.8 of a tile assumption, we get:

0.8/6.5 = 12.3% (rounds to 12%)
0.8/8 = 10%
0.8/10 = 8%
0.8/12 = 6.7% (rounds to 7%)

So 0.8 of a tile looks like the correct number. Thank you very much!

Has anyone else noticed a trend towards people playing mana troops(vs crit.) over the past couple months?

Yes. What we’ve figured out is that mid-level crit troops play nice;y, but high-level mana troops rule.

There has been an introduction of some very fast heroes that inspired people to invest time in mana troops and they just continued to take them up as well. What I recommend for folks starting out is, depending on the heroes in your stable, try to get a crit troop up to a workable level. Then start working on your mana troops. Obvious exceptions would be Holy, if you have Jackals or Fire if you have GM. Kage is nice, but not worth changing your plans on troops early. Getting a mana troop to level 11 is not that difficult though.

Question. I now have 4 red mana troops and 4 red crit troops. Should I keep all 8 or is it safe to feed any away and why? Thanks

I keep 2 of each, feed the rest

Do you mono in red? That probably shifts the answer somewhat.

Yeah I could see myself doing that. I don’t have Falcon but I do have BT+15, Wilbur, GM, Mitsuko (tier 3), Anzogh (tier 3).

You could consider keeping at least 5 to increase your potential for mono. Other than that it’s a matter of taste. They don’t take up a limited space as heroes do, and we never know what the devs could come up. So I save a few extra.

Mana troops or critical hit troops and why?

GO!

I’d choose the mana boost but it depends on the hero I’d imagine.

It certainly depends on the hero.

Generally, I try to give average speed or slower a mana troop. On defense this is usually my tank. i.e. usually a hero with good natural bulk that mainly needs help with firing quickly to ensure the advantage in the match.

Crit troops are for my snipers usually. If they have high attack stats it makes the critical strikes on offense great. On defense they can take more tile damage while still firing fairly often.

Well as stacking is a game changer i recomend you to keep 5 troops of each colour…
Just in case you are considering feed them all…

Unless you have your mana troops over level 11 and on most 23 you arent going to see much help. Critical is where the damage is. There is guide that show the increase by using mana troops, if I am not mistaken mana troops will only change one full level, ie extra slow>slow, slow>average or average>fast, or fast>very fast… I think its the extra slow>slow
