The match I lost was a LB2 Ludwig and had a Alfrike, they both kept going off, but I did almost kill both and I did kill all other 3, so I did get some score at least.
I am pretty sure every match I faced today had Alfrike
4-1 start to the tournament. Went with my usual Rush team of Dabria - Matilda - Ludwig - Lepiota. The last spot was either Xiaotu Vs LotL and other minion teams, or an overhealer. None of them are LB2, but if I get 6 Purple tiles, it’s usually an easy if slow win.
The one loss came in 3rd match against a Ludwig flanked by Otis and Khufu. Underestimated Otis’s ailments and went with Arco as the overhealer. Didn’t get my Purple tiles before the opposing Ludwig fired. My Ludwig didn’t survive the hits from the flanks and Dabria didn’t revive him. Only managed to kill the tank.
Switched the overhealer to c2Rigard and won the next 2 with good boards. Defense is still untested.
4-1 again on Day 2. Went straight with c2Rigard from the start as the overhealer. With Hathor all over the place, the first 3 matches were a slog but managed to win all including 2 in overtime.
Faced a Kullervo - El Duque - Cupido - Hurricane - Archie defense. Cupido is immune to Lepiota and probably should have used a different attacking team. Both the tank and Kullervo fired multiple times and my heroes mindlessly hit themselves to death
Faced another Cupido tank in the last match, but this time remembered to use Shrubbear in place of c2Rigard and the Bear took many hits for the team.
Bloody Wednesday start inauspiciously with back-to-back losses. Both times faced Buff Blocking tanks in Sneferu and Hypnos. Brought Shrubbear in to absorb the hit, and it worked. But cascades triggered Sneferu a 2nd time and charged Hypnos to 2nd charge. Only killed 1 of the 10 defenders.
4 losses in, and continued only because I was filling a Raid chest and wanted to completed the PoG challenge with Shrubbear. Won the next 2 so at least some challenges were completed.
Last match was against a Khufu flanked by LoTL and Delilah. Switched Xiaotu in for Shrubbear and got another zero for that choice
Defense finally got its first win to go to 1-5
