A better 2nd day, though it’s possibly just because of good boards and the fact that with a 3-2 record, I’m starting from way behind. Attacked with 4 Greens today regardless of tank colour. Roxia - Faiez - Shrubbear/Zarola - Fianna - Edelaide. Switched between Shrubbear and Zarola depending on whether the tank is passive.
The single loss of the day was against a defense of Felton - Zarel - Dawn - Rekhetre - Whacker. Got a good start and killed Dawn without any problem, but then the Green tiles stopped appearing. That’s the risk of going 4-1. Maybe I should have kept using Shrubbear since there was only one healer in the defense.
Defense is still going strong at 7-1. Hopefully I can get my 2nd Roxia maxed tomorrow. Really want to see how many -5% mana gen stacks I can put on the opponents
I flew too close to the sun with my last match and thought I didn’t need Joukahainen against the LB2 Shrubbear. Unfortunately I forgot about the Helo in the corner, and my team had no answer.
The start board isn’t bad. I kill tank with some yellow tile. Then I get the blue diamond and explode it. It cause the big 15+ combo cascade and charge all enemy. All enemy fire and kill 4 of my heroes. At least, I can kill the tank .
Other attack is ok. Win without problem.

Defense is flipping between A and B great. Luckily, I end day 1 with A defense .
A good run of boards and more regular team-building led to 5 wins on a Wednesday for once. Got my 2nd Roxia to level 50 (out of small Green Aethers to LB) and emblemed. Tried the double Roxia formation of Roxia - Faiez - Shrubber - Rekhetre - Roxia in 2 of the matches. Managed to put 8 stacks (-40% mana generation) of Manaroxia on the opposing heroes Gonna try for 10 tomorrow.
2 other times, went 3-1-1 with Roxia - Faiez - Fianna - Rekhetre - cTyrum against a flank Treevil, and cTyrum - Kinsaishi - Rekhetre - Felton - Faiez against a Treevil tank. Both times managed to kill the Tree before he fired.
Defense is still hanging in there at A (12-5). Up into the 3400-3600TP range today. Tomorrow will be worse…
The board is slightly bad but not very bad but the problem is that enemy target and kill my LB1 Noril right before I can fire my healer. Leave my to 4vs5 situation in pretty early. It is close battle. I end with my 1 slayer vs 2 enemy slayer. Almost kill enemy Maeve with only 100 hp remain but the cascade trigger both enemy slayer in the same time and kill my Maeve. I think I will win if my Noril has LB2.
Haha, mono LB2 Treevil defense but that isn’t easy. I also check and found that all those Treevil are in full attack path. Even without any buff, the LB2 Treevil hit really hard against my LB2 heroes with Faiez buff with the Jinx talent. I kill tank but both Treevil flank fire. Luckily, I manage heal back before any other Treevils fire .
It was a really hard day at the tournament… Nothing was going well for me today, the boards were bad and in general even the fights I won were really close to losing

I’m having a similar experience to you. I’ve placed in the top 1% for years, but the defences are now stronger and is often forcing me into 4 + 1 unlike my preferred 3 + 1 + 1. I also have much fewer attacks on my defence, used to be hundreds. Suspect it is the Alpha aethers that are causing this. You could of course double limit break your entire roster, but I will start out by trying some alternative strategies. It is telling that I found it easier to beat a few of the top 100 teams while filling the Raid chest with an attack team without any limit breaks than facing the 3-60 defences with a 3-55 attack team. Perhaps just a bad week?
I agree, I’m out today and this tournament was quite difficult to me. I encountered many 2LB teams and I couldn’t kill those heroes with my 3+2 teams. Somehow I feel that damage from tiles is much worse and I can’t kill defending heroes with just them. I don’t have a single 2LB hero, just 1LB.
Does 2LB add so much to hero stats that suddenly I can’t kill them?
