Great comments. Man, you just had to make this harder, didn’t you…hahaha! Ok, so Margaret was actually on the forefront of my heroes to get the tonics. I just pulled Malosi and Clarissa in the last months, and together with Grave, I was drooling over my very fast mana team. We all just need a blue very fast 5* to complete the whole set. I was even commenting in a Margaret “after-buff” thread that she could get up to an insane 960 damage stat with the sword emblem path. And I still haven’t spent my rogue emblems aside from the 4 levels in Marjana. So yeah, 150% damage to all isn’t that much, but with 960 damage stat, it will count for something! Then add the dodge which is very annoying, and the rogue Evade skill, and she could really be interesting. It’s only that people still were negative using her (who already had her maxed) that deterred me from proceeding to level her.
And Heimdall, well he would be green 5* no 3. to be slowww mana, and I already have Alby to resurrect heroes (and he is better at it too with 33% vs 20% from Heimdall). I like him though for exactly the reasons you mention, and I will level him after Ratatoskr for the next 6 tonics if I get no 12 before I get to him.
D@mn, you make me doubt going for Ratatoskr, I’ll have to think this through again…
Apologies… I thought I was making the decision easier for you.
Ratatoskr is a good choice too. However, his use case is quite niche. He is one of those special heroes that needs some getting used to.
Margaret, you can use pretty much everywhere. Just fire her skill and watch the enemies miss left and right literally.
Yes, but so would Ratatoskr, even without the resurrect, don’t you think? Alberich is my number one favorite hero, because on average he will win me probably 1-2 more raids out of 10 which I would have lost otherwise. He’ll make me go crazy though with not resurrecting at all in a lot of other raids, multiple times in succesion at that! And that’s at 33% chance, now take Heimdall and me expecting the same results as with Alby (I know 20 is less than 33 but still…)…I don’t know if I could take that! Just kidding, but with a serious note, I would probably have too high expectations of his resurrect and see him as a poor man’s Alby…
It’s still a 1st world problem though…hahaha! No, I can use some passionate argument making in this. I think you just put Margaret back on the map…
I know you are flush with healers already, but I’d go with Heimdall. He’s makes the S3 hard levels so much easier, nothing like going into the boss round with your heroes all at double HP. Plus we are seeing more and more heroes that steal your HP and limit the max you can have. Heimdall is the only one of your healers that can counter that.
I will say that when we were facing Blue Tanks, and seeing a lot of Aegir, Hatter was my favorite green. Save his special until after Aegir goes off and steal all that protection for youself. Very fun.
I only ever see green tanks, so no blue tanks here, either. Still, my reasoning was primarily towards war attack teams. Defense down is the most effevtive status effect in my eye and a staple for every war attack team i have.
The use i’ve got for evelyn’s special is quite versatile. I might couple her with a regular defense dropper and a hit-all hero like kadilen or atomos. I also couple her with a sniper to be able to take out telluria by removing her heal, dropping her defense, hit her with lianna afterwards and elkanen or just tiles to finish her.
I’d stay away from any reviver at this point in current meta. I know a lot of people love their revivers and argue that they saved them a lot of battles which could be lost otherwise. However, most of those said battles i watched would be saved with a faster, more effective hero in the first place
Hatter, he is really cool. :).
So I should either level:-
- Heimdall (III)
- Ratatoskr (IIIII)
- Margaret (II)
- 2nd Evelyn (I)
- Alberich (I)
- Atomos (I)
- Kadilen (II)
- or Hatter (III)
Ratatoskr in the lead with 5 votes, Heimdall and Hatter tied for 2nd with 3 votes, and Margaret and Kadilen tied for third with two votes. Any other takers for this topic? Hahaha, it didn’t really help with determining the next hero to level, but I love the arguments and do take that away (for example the point made by TooOldForThis about heroes appearing that drop max health and why Heimdall is a good counter for those). At this moment I have decided to level Heimdall first and Ratatoskr second. I have time before I have to decide where to allocate the tonics…
Love your argument about max health droppers, didn’t realize Heimdall is the only one to combat this mechanic. We may see some more of this effect in the meta with release of future S3 heroes (and maybe HotMs too).
Don’t forget too that when you have the strong base that you do, congrats by the way, you can always do the crazy thing and pick heroes to max based purely on who you feel could be fun or whomever you have an inclination towards for no particular reason
Good luck!
I would do the Rat. You really have all you need for raiding and defense. A hardcore titan masher would fit well.
No point in leveling a 2nd Alby or Telluria. No such thing as “enough snipers” imo lol. I would probably do Hatter or a second Kingston
Heimdall is the only one of the choices to do this, and I “think” the only 5* hero that does it, but also Gullinbursti (yellow 4) and Grevle (green 3) have the health boost so do this as well, but to a lesser degree.
